First, the JCW kit does not produce 200 hp, it makes more like high 180s. Most of that HP is not from the head, it's from the pulley. I also believe that only the intake ports are worked and not the exhaust in the JCW head, but I may be wrong.
$1700 for a JCW head is not a wise buy when about the same amount of money will get you a much better head, some with cam included, from a handful of suppliers here on NAM.
Maybe it was the hype in which this add is written that got my dander up.
Maybe it's worth it to some out there, but just know that a JCW head is not a big HP gainer.

Was online w/ Spaz today & thought I'd share a little research. After talking w/ my MINI Tech "Guru" Will Goodwin @ Bob's T&A (Tire & Auto
) & a Tech from Moritz MINI, it turns out that this JCW Head would DEFINITELY be compatible installed in a Cooper! Moritz did say if you were also interested in adding forced induction to your Cooper WITH the JCW Head - as in supercharger or turbo - since the Cooper already has higher compression than the S, you would then need to change out your head gasket, pistons & rods... but as is, there would be no worries!
So Cooper Owners... Come to the "Dark Side"! Beef up your head!
