I've searched for quite a while. All the ones that I've found were one-offs fabricated at one shop or the other. If you run a search fot "hitch" on NAM you'll no doubt find these. I located the perfect hitch on Rogue Engineering's site made specifically for the MCS. When I called they said " when introduced 4 years ago people expressed an overwelming indifference and we decided not to manufacture it." They do have a good picture on their site. The receiver is a class I 1 1/4" square. You can probably find a small shop to figure it out and make you one. This hitch would definitely require moving the exhaust tips as the hitch point needs that space. I'm not sure about the others. There was one that made use of the Sport Link as well as MIniFini's that does the same. Good luck.

I've got one that I purchased from Junkman, he has sold a bunch of these with no problems. I paid $250 for it, I was planning on using it, but, I now have a 20' trailer that I pull the Mini in.

So, I'll take $250 shipped for it and its new.

Do you have a photo of the Junkman Hitch? I'll be in Peru for the Tour and may be interested in it.

I saw one that was custom made at the Putnam Park Mini Driving school a couple of weeks ago. The owner of the car that had it, Ron Rogers, got it from a guy named Karl (Crashkarl@aol.com, 518-477-9752). It isn't mass-produced, from what Ron told me, but it looked to be very solid, and was removable. I believe the gross trailer weight was 1000 lbs, which should be enough (should I decide to ever get one) to tow my SV650 on a light trailer down to the Dragon, so I can have fun on 2 and 4 wheels! :-)

MCS Trailer Hitch

Here is a web page I put together to cover several MCS hitches.

http://user.mc.net/~jdewey/MINI/Trai...r_Hitches.html

It now includes Photos of Abe's hitch.

I sold the hitch to TomA, unfortunately I don't have any pics. TomA will be at Peru for the NT, hopefully with the hitch installed if anyone is going to be there.

I recently purchased the latest version from Junkman, it's very nice work. It is made by Abe Douglas and his e-mail address is Thejunkman2@comcast.net.

Just curious.. Has anybody tried getting the hitch (tow bar) from MINI UK? It would require some mods to work with the US system, but comes with a complete wiring harness, modules, fuses and all. It sells for approx. $600, but I haven't gotten price on shipping.

I've been looking for one of the TowLink hitches

I've been looking for a Tow Link as I was going to spring for the Sport Link attachment. However, the Tow Link's are months backordered and I'm now going to use Jdewey's model and have one fabricated at a local welder's shop.

Have you already got a means of attaching a hitch to your MCS?
