Fs: Kosei K1-ts 17x7

(4) Kosei K1-TS wheels in excellent condition. I have used these on my 05 MCS for about 4 months. These wheels are as light as it gets for the money in a 17X7 wheel at a very light 14.1 lbs per wheel. Thats 11lbs LESS PER WHEEL than the S-LITES that come with the sport package.

I can assure you, if you switch from the S-lites to these, your MCS will be born again!!!

Apparnetly, while I was at a divisional SCCA SOLO II event in OKC, I ran through an unmarked construction slit in the road(approx 12") and it very very slightly bent the lip on 2 of the wheels, and I mean VERY slightly. It is almost impossible to even see and I went well over 1 month without noticing even though I did pull over and check everything after running through the slit, and, there is no vibration whatsoever, even at 100mph+ on the track so it is purely cosmetic and barely visible.

I paid around $900 shipped for these, I figure $550 is a fair price plus shipping??? I also have a set of 215/45/17 Kumho MX's that are currently mounted and the fronts have a few autocross runs on them and are about 30-40% tread left with the outer edge a bit worn, the rears have 70-80% tread left and are slightly cupping. I'd take $700 with the tires included, and, the wheels/tires cost be around $1400 if I remember correctly so thats 50% off!!!

If anyone wanted to use these as autocross/street wheels/tires, these would definitely last the remainder of the year and some of next with average autocross use and low mileage. AND, this is about as good of a setup as you can get with non r-compound tires and lightweight 17's for higher speed courses. They would also make for perfect track wheels/tires. Wait a second, I could use these for my HPDE coming up!!!

$550 w/out tires
$700 w/tires

Any thoughts?

Here is a JPG, I'll see if I can borrow a Digicam tomorrow. BUT, I'd bet they'll be gone by then anyway. If anyone wants to commit pending pics, I'll let them backout if they are not happy with the pics, which, I am sure they will be.

I THINK a sale is possibly pending. If anyone else is interested, PM me and I'll put you next in line if the buyer doesn't pay by noon tomorrow. I realize this is a decent size purchase, so, pics are going to be posted tomorrow if the buyer doesn't send monies.

seems odd you haven't posted a pic of your wheels. don't try that "don't have a digi-cam" you should. you can get one for less than one hundred bucks.

Excellent! Then go ahead and send me one. Bottom line is, I don't really need to post pics, I've sold to many guys on this site with no problems. If it ever comes down to needing to post pics, I'll borrow a camera.

Oh, WHEELS AND TIRES ARE SOLD on Friday!!!

I have been looking at those wheels due to the fact that I've really started to get into AutoX'ing. One thing is concerning to me though, I need to be sure that the lip isn't just cosmetic. I would like to see pictures as well, even though you seem to be unable to. If so, you have a VERY serious buyer. I just have one question for you as an AutoXer, why are you selling these after just 4 months of racing??

Mattman,

As previously posted and the main reason no pics were posted is becuase Wheels and tires are SOLD!!!

The reason I'm selling is becuase I am transforming to STX and don't need these.

well, too bad. I was looking at set of those and just noticed them tonight. I also just noticed that you were in another thread with additional parts for sale. The main one I noticed you were thinking about was switching to the Quaife LSD system, which I've already posted a reply on in that thread. Let me know if you are thinking of switching the factory LSD with the Quaife, I'd be interested in buying the factory LSD off you.

hello oasis, are you one of the people that are listed in the two websites you list? i've never autocrossed just road raced. auto cross seems to be a cheaper way for me to have fun with my car. i'm spending way to much on car prep.

yes, I'm on the TeamSoloRacer.com website in the Mini Cooper S. Autocross can be just as expensive, especially considering if you do 30 events a year like I have. When its all said and done, I will have spent probably 11-12K this season! Thats why I'm switching to STX, where I can run street tires, and, if I get antsy, I can ocassionally run DSP.:smile:

Oops, sorry

You'll be in Street Modified with your larger brakes and smaller pulley, it basically allows for any and all off the shelf modifications.

I'm going to Street Touring Extreme, which allows some mods but has restrictions on wheel size up to 8" wide and tire type has to have a wear rating of 140 or higher.
