I have a cruise cam and it is great. It is unlikely that anyone is going to have a used one for sale, but since it is only $40, I'd suggest just ordering a new one.

Anybody?

Getting 'out' of tracking and filming?

Selling you MINI and won't need a camera mount anymore?

Thanks

Oh yeah, that's right...

I guess there'd be a way to put a vacu-cam inside.

I am interested in using this at track days (www.allminitrackday.com), so I'd like to see the speedo as well on the vid, not just the line, which means it'd have to go inside.

Thanks for the tip - I'd be interested in one of those as well if someone is looking to unload theirs...

Thanks

Derek

If your not wanting to spend the money on the Cruise Cam and want to see the Speedo along with Tach, build one. I spent around $20 for odd parts and was able to build one that put the camera in the exact position I was looking for. The most expensive parts were the 3/4 " square aluminum hollow pipe at Home Depot for around $7 and the camera mount at Office Depot at $10. The tripod had a screw holding the camera mount head. That's a must to connect it to the aluminum bracket.

The rest was misc. parts to mount everything together and a little bit of the soft side of velcro stuck in place where it may contact the seat fabric.

Guess that's my cue! LOL
The VacuCam is for both interior and exterior mounting. The least expensive VacuCam 1 for $99 is meant for door or panel mounting. The VacuCam 1B is the ball mounted version for $119 and that enables you to mount it inside or outside. I use it all the time inside of my front windshield and on my rear window.

You could also mount them on a bar (from Home Depot) that spans the interior windows or mount them on the rear window and shoot forwards, though I haven't tried it that way. The bar in the passenger area gives a really nice and stable view as well as the option to shoot forwards and backwards.

The kits have been designed and priced for affordability. The Deluxe kits come with more parts like the tool kit and paint protection, plus the ability to switch or add more than 1 camera. These are available in 1 to 3 camera setups. Priced accordingly, you can start with a single camera deluxe kit then later add a VacuCam1B or VacuCam1 to expand the number of cameras.

All kits are prebuilt specifically for the MINI, allowing you to take them out of the box and begin recording immediately.

PM or email me for more info.
