Description:
2006 Cooper S Hyper blue, white top stripes and mirrors with Lapis Blue interior. Factory JCW tuning kit, locking diff, and JCW front brakes. Also has JCW suspension that rides very well and aero kit.
Black headliner, armrest, sunroof, Harmon Kardon, Nav, heated seats, auto dim mirror with garage door opener, auto headlights, rear PDC, chrome interior with anthracite trim and hyper blue shift ****, no front plate bracket or holes, clean carfax when I ran it in September haven’t found any signs of any body or paint work done, Georgia car from new, so it has no issues with rust, it is currently registered and titled in NH, but went from GA to FL, currently located in Wellington FL.
It was trailered to Rindge, NH and is currently in a heated garage and covered.
Car is again back in South Florida, Wellington where it thrives.
Have all owners manual, JCW certificate, original new car checklist, window sticker (a lot of the writing wore off from being folded), one key, two keys, and clean NH title.
What I noticed it had done when I got it, The factory JCW suspension with sticker on driver door and factory aero kit. WMW strut bar and coolant bottle, JCW carbon fiber hatch handle and hood scoop (I’ve taken both off and confirmed both to have the JCW stickers, scoop was unbolted to fully clean and paint correct car, hatch handle was loose and needed to be re-glued to the plate light/hatch release button assembly) OEM aux cable in glovebox, glovebox organizer, trunk storage net, cup holder, oem silver aux oil temp and voltage gauges behind regular cup holders, oem bag holder on back seat in trunk area, new battery, appears to be two new cv joints, possibly aftermarket, poly control arm bushings (noticed when I was under it, haven’t heard them make any noise and all feels tight) I was told it has a new a/c compressor which the a/c blows very cold here in south FL and a clutchmasters clutch, makes a small amount of chatter at idle with clutch pedal released. Minidomore hidden hitch with light wiring harness, rear fog light was missing, so I had to replace it, all fits perfectly, I do not have the hitch ball mount or pin.
What I have done since mid Sept and less than 3k miles since I’ve owned it.

The negatives with the car is that it has 126k 134k as of 10/12/24 miles, the front bumper has some pitting and was cracked underneath, I’ve included pics. The front bumper could benefit from being repainted, but is also fine as is, I had no intention of having it painted, I am just being honest not to expect a perfect front bumper. The hood has some normal road rash chips from 126k of driving. There is a ding on the left fender and qtr just in front of and behind the left door. The rear bumper has a small nick, please see pics. The passenger front seat bottom has some marks from what looks like a dog standing on the front seat, see pics. Two of the wheels have some curb rash, please see below for explanation of wheels/tires. This is me picking apart the car, being honest as I know most people would be traveling to get this. I have no problem FaceTiming and sending videos or more pics of the car as an interested buyer requests.
The only thing left on my list I was going to do was a set of white wheels of some sort, (SEE IPDATE BELOW ON WHEELS AND TIRES), I wasn’t a fan of the R98 web spikes on it currently, two of the wheels have some curb rash and the tires, while they hold air and have some tread left are old Yokohama tires that are scalloped in the rear and thus have road noise. I just couldn’t find which wheels to pull the trigger on and as much as I love the car, I searched for this car for about 2 years, it just isn’t right for us. We had an 05 mini back in the early 2010’s that we loved and always regretted selling. We have a 1973 Innocenti Mini and have had quite a few cars since our last r53. As soon as we got this one, we realized it wasn’t going to work for us like it did in the past and need to move back into something else. I absolutely love the car, it’s everything we wanted, just doesn’t work for us unfortunately. Hoping it will go to another enthusiast who will care for it.
It starts runs drives and stops very well, it has been a great car in the time we have had it, and it sounds awesome with the Milltek header and JCW exhaust. The car has no issues and could continue to be driven just the way it is, but tires or a set of wheels and tires would really make this car perfect. It will come with whatever I have left for the car, some factory marker lights, the belt tensioner tool, it came with another cv joint forget which side, and some odds and ends that I have replaced and kept the original.
Update:
As of 1/6/24 it now has a new cryo treated timing chain with new sprockets, guides and tensioner. I started it 2 weeks ago and was met with a nasty rattle. Upon teardown the tensioner had stuck in so wasn’t much tension on chain. It was still in time, it did not jump. Along with this I did all new seals gaskets and o rings that were touched, oil change, wmw 2% overdrive crank pulley instead of the oem size ati pulley as well as a new gates belt.
Also have replaced the coolant bottle with an oem, new oem coil, cabrio braces, and have 18” R105 wheels in white having continental dws being installed this week along with an alignment.
Also have removed the armrest and replaced with a non armrest center console but still have the armrest.
Back for sale and need to sell to get into a larger older Lexus or Toyota SUV for hauling and family duties.
Located in Rindge NH, it was trailered up there from Florida in May well after the salt on the roads, and has been garaged and covered.

That being said, I do have some questions:
- Has the car ever been smoked in, or at least during your ownership?
No smell of any smoke, no odd smells as at all. I can’t stand cigarette smoke so I ask the same question when buying cars.
- Any issues with the Sirius tuner? Is it aftermarket or OEM?
No issues at all, use it every time I drive it. It is the oem tuner, but the antenna is aftermarket and uses double side tape to stick to the roof behind the factory antenna so it doesn’t move and scratch the roof. I had to use an aftermarket antenna because the car has oem GPS as well.
- Is the audio system Bluetooth-capable? It is not, however it has the cd changer extension coming out of the Sirius tuner so you can still add another source. It currently has Sirius in factory location, 3.5mm aux input in the glovebox, and then it has the factory extension cable to add another source.
- And the infamous question: do you have the original emissions equipment? I’m in California and passing a smog check is a thing.
I unfortunately do not. When I bought the car it had a cheap aftermarket no name header with some sort of cat in it that was cracked. I replaced with the milltek with high flow cat. No check engine light, but it does have an o2 spacer on the rear sensor and it can be kind of stinky on cold start.
As other have mentioned, BaT is worth a look. They will probably ask that it be listed as "no reserve" and I watched two similar Minis last year that did not meet what their owners had hoped. But the market feels much stronger this year.
We are in over $17k at this point, addressing everything as needed and making it the way we wanted.
I appreciate the kind words, I was honestly thinking it seemed to be going the opposite way, seems like a lot of them keep showing up for sale much cheaper than I’m asking, but don’t have many things addressed. We don’t drive this car everyday, it just sits in the garage. We both work from home, and even on weekends we are rarely driving it. The Defender works better for us and our dog going to the beach and the Range Rover works better for just a nice comfortable drive.
looking to get a 991 this summer/fall possibly for the new toy. Be
We sold our S63, 1973 Innocenti mini, and older Defender on cars and bids, just nervous of letting it go no reserve. The car does have higher miles which some people will no overlook, we would hate to have to let it go much cheaper than our asking price at this point.
Backing into the driveway the other night I got a little click, so either the new left cv joint is already bad, or I’m thinking possibly strut mounts/bearings as I haven’t replaced those yet. Going to order strut mount bearings/bushings here shortly and get those in to see if that addresses that click or not. If not may swap out for another GKN left cv. I’ve replaced both of them within the past few months with GKN, hoping it’s not them.
I am being a stickler on the price too, not really entertaining offers far off asking due to how much we have out into it.
We trailered it back to NH for the summer with the Defender at the end of May after salt, so it is garaged in Rindge NH.
Updates on maintenance:6/11/2025 136,811 Miles
- Oil change (Mann filter and Liqui Moly Leichtlauf 5w40, crush washer, FCP Euro)
- Replaced auto dimming mirror control board with a used one from junkyard
- New Gates K060539 Serp Belt
- New clear OEM side turn signal lenses with new orange bulbs to replace a/m smoked LED
- New Bosch 0280156063 JCW equivalent 380cc injectors, factory ones appear to be leaking down overnight
- Redline MTL trans fluid change
6/20/2025 137,002 Miles
- NTK rear o2 sensor due to P0136 (FCP Warranty)
Still has a click from the left cv, only one click when moving forward, no clicks on turning or shifting, and then one click when you reverse and so on. I need to swap out the GKN left axle I recently put in with a new GKN via FCP warranty, just haven’t got to it yet.
From a few posts ago:
"We trailered it back to NH for the summer with the Defender at the end of May after salt, so it is garaged in Rindge NH."
I will remove this thread, we have gone back and forth on selling this mini, but we have some great memories with a recently lost loved one and this car, therefore we cannot let it go.
