Would anyone be interested in trying to help organize a club rally or something somewhere in Charleston or surrounding area? I'm going to try to contact someone at Mini of Charleston and see if they could help us out. Also is anyone from Charleston going to the Auto Fair in Charlotte on the 16-18th of Sept.?

 

Though I am up in Columbia, I would entertain coming down....

I'd come down, but I'm not sure that I can be part of a club that includes "We can't Drive" in it's name. I'm afraid my car will activate the driver side ejector seat and spit me out

I haven't had a chance to get in touch with or go to Mini of Charleston yet, but it is on my "to do" list. Does anyone have any suggestions about what we could do? If all goes well I'm going to the Charlotte Autofair Sept. 16-18 this year. Is anyone else going?

 

I won't be showing my car at Charlotte, but I'll be there hanging around the MINI group.

One of the things a few of us talked about possibly doing down in Charleston was to tour the aircraft carrier and submarine that are on display down there or some of the civil war museums in the area. Combining one of those ideas with a drive around the area and lunch or dinner would make for a full day.

The PhillyMINI group drives a tour of the historic sites in the city up there every once in a while. There's some interest in this type of event as they've got 59 cars signed up for the next one coming up. Charleston's got some notable areas around it.

A day time run followed by a stop at Patriots point would make for a nice MINI meet. Maybe a drive along the coast Bueafort area some twisties...

I recently received a flyer from Mini Of Charleston about the grand opening of the Parts and Service departments. It will be October 1 @ 10am. I hope to be there and see some other Mini enthusiasts! They also mentioned that you can sign up for and help name the new "Mini Club of Charleston". If you need any more info, PM me.
