Introduce Yourself

My friends call me Jomo, but that name was taken by someone on here back in 03 when I joined, so I just used my name. I have been selling MINIs in Nashville since 03 also. I have owned three MINIs but some of you might recognize my 06 from MC2 or the Dragon. I love my car and even sold my Harley to finance my mod addiction. I play a little guitar and like to collect them and that's about it (besides that fact that I'm a dork). Here's my car

Dear Chad, I'm Back.
Checking In.
Joined NAM back in '03 when it was minicooperonline. Posted alot back in the day but got out of the habit for whatever reason. Probably because SO MANY people joined & I couldn't keep up. Chad told me I had to get back on the scene, so here I am.
I have a July 2002 Pure Silver Cooper S. Bought it bone stock. Not so stock now. Was a Motoring Advisor @ MINI of Charleston for 8 months in '04. Even selling MINIs becomes just "Selling Cars". I work & live on the peninsula. I'm an avid dragon hunter (except for the MOTD, I'm not much for parades), autocrosser, occasional trackday-er & photographer.
Lived in England from 2006 to mid '07. Had a '94 Cooper. Red w/ white roof & bonnet stripes. That was a blast to drive.
I'm sure you can figure out what my name is. Well, that's enough for now... Here's my Cooper S:

The day is getting closer...
we settle on the house here in Virginia on 5/30 and should be in "Chucktown" on June 7th. The entire family is stoked. I read in this thread about a May meet- is there something for June? I am well aware having lived there before it'll be getting pretty sweaty soon so maybe an evening jaunt would be the ticket. Shem Creek perhaps? Anywhere the tiny black teeth aren't works for me.- Mark

Our time is drawing near...
we settled on a house on Isle of Palms this past weekend and the wife and I had some excellent employment deals in the works- we'll be uprooted from VA on the 6th of June and we can't wait to return "home" to Charleston. I believe a beer swap is in order shortly after we arrive...
more on that later!

Hi all -- figured I should introduce myself to the locals.
My name is Apryll and I am the proud new owner of a Laser Blue/Silver Clubman S (Galileo - took delivery May 23). I live up in Summerville and work downtown, so if you ever see me driving around please wave! My husband seems to think that Hardtop owners might snub the Clubman, but I assure him that would never be the case (please prove me right ). I see Minis a couple of times a week, but usually not when I'm in the Clubman or they are on the opposite side of the highway. So if you see a crazy lady waving at you from the passenger seat of a blue Honda Civic Coupe, it's probably me riding around in my husband's car (we carpool and trade off driving).
I'm planning on making it out to the MTTS event on the 16th, so I look forward to meeting some of you there!

Well unfortunately my daily is a Subaru as the MINI is a toy and doesn't leave the garage as often as it should. Hell it spends more time in the air or in a garage having body work done than anything else lately (yeah I know that is stupid but.......). Mods other than superficial were for the first few years. Body work lately and now that it is done I will go back to the engine and the interior next!
DS with Black roof and you wont' see another one like it on the planet! trust me on that one as none of you that know me except for lowcountryS have seen the car since the new body work has been done.....
debadged, dechromed and all seams filled, smoothed and bonded to the car.
Anyhow. I look forward to the next meet that I can make (maybe tomorrow depending on my morning plans).
oh and rock on with the clubbies, they rule!

hit me with a PM if you need tix. I work with them. Might be a good place for an informal meetup if some of the Charleston people would be willing to go as well.

The trailer is for the MINI. It is my autocross trailer... when I actually go...
Thanks. Its an adjustment on a flag I saw on Cooper Flags. All pieces are individually cut & placed my me. I extended the racing stripes into fangs.
