Maybe too much black. Considered dark silver? Black elements strive to contrast. Black on black on black might just drown out the elements.

yea, i was considering dark silver but i just gotta see the mini in astro black just so i can see if it really is too much black. Or i can just go for the hyper sport kit, but i still gotta see that in all black too! Nice rims though on yellow mini! you think black rims with chrome lip is too much, or will it make it stand out a little bit? thanks

My second car was an '83 Camaro in metalic antharcite. It was a pain to keep clean, and I never considered a metalic black after that. The metal flake in the paint makes it look dusty when it's clean. Straight gloss black would look better than Astro Black in my opinion, but it's only an opinion. If I bought your proposed all black MINI used from you, I'd go for polished rims with thin spokes. As with the black Aero details against black car, black rims will be lost against the car.

Maybe save the black for your Merc S500 and give your MINI some pigment! Black cars are for people who don't want to be seen IMHO.

I know what you're saying about not wanting to be seen if I go with all black, but, you're driving a MINI! How could you NOT be seen!?! Anyway, I think I'm going for the evil dark look of the mini. You just can't go wrong with black, even if it means more trips to the car wash.

Sorry....it's not an 07. But someone saying All black doesn't work on a MINI ? Meh...I think I disagree . I am not going to lie, All black MINIs are quite the head turner's .

Well, here is my 05 with the AERO Kit.......maybe it will help you with your decision.

Very nice! Might as well take the mirrors to black, no? I'd even take the wheels 100% black, but that's JMO. So, what's the interior temperature on a summer day in Austin?

Great picture and nice car, but you sort of proved my point. Jet black works better than Astro (Metalic) black. And if you mount a Black accented JCW kit on a black car and add black rims, you can't see those details, or the car. But again, some like the stealth looks. Your car looks loved and that's what's important.
