JCW GarageInterested in John Cooper Works (JCW) parts for your 1st Generation MINI? This is where JCW upgrades and accessories for the Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs are discussed.
I have mine on order (along with the JCW steering wheel), hopefully it will arrive soon. Lapis Blue stitching, of course. newyorkcitymini... nice pic, but I'm surprised you didn't opt for green stitching?
I have just the leather down tubes (with blue stitching) because I have the Hyper Blue dash (and blue lapis leather). The car was completly transformed with the downtubes. A definate must, especially if you have leather.

I have the same setup, but I decided I would rather have the Leather dash & Lapis Blue stitching than the Hyper Blue dash... so I'll probably be looking to sell my HB dash soon. A shame that it won't fit into 2002-2004 MINIs though.
Assuming you all shopped around, which sources had the best prices for the complete Dash/Downtubes unit?

Well, keep in mind that MINIUSA has ONLY released the JCW leather dash with 2 stitching options - Black and Chili Red.
If you want a different stitching color (like I did), you'll have to order from outside the USA. I ordered from NewMINIStuff.com, which is based in the UK.
Other stitching colors available are: Lapis Blue, Green, Gray, White, Yellow, Brown & Beige.

Nope, sorry - it's only available in the 3-piece dash.
I'm saving up for a leather dash and down tubes. Will most likely get them from MorristownMini via eBay. Hmmmm red or black stitching? With a DS/B, I just don't know.

Edge, did NewMINIStuff give any indication whether your Lapis stitched downtubes were in stock? Or will they have to be manufactured? Just curious about the timeline to get the parts in your hands.

Pretty much ALL of the custom stitching options have a delay, because they are made to order. I think black stitching is the only one kept regularly in stock. There's a non-refundable deposit of £50 for the dash and £30 for the down tubes, so you better be SURE you want it when you place the order! In fact, if you wanted red stitching, you might consider buying it here in the USA (even if it's more expensive) just for more immediate gratification.
According to their website, custom stitching orders can take 6 weeks. Personally I think it's worth the wait... I think the blue stitching is going to look awesome in my very blue-themed MINI!
I opted to become a carbon fiber maniac when outfitting the interior of my MCS Cabrio. Having said that, I truly think the JCW leather dash is beautiful. If I hadn't put the wood dash (which is also pretty cool, I think) in my MC, I would have put the leather dash in without hesitation.
By the way, if any of you folks are looking for a good deal on a leather JCW dash, check out Ebay in the Stores section. Morristown Mini is offering a pretty sweet deal.

Interesting - you went with both CF AND the wood dash? Show us some pics!

Provided, of course... that you want either black or red stitching. Any other stitching color (lapis blue, green, gray, white, yellow, brown or beige) has to be ordered from outside the USA.
