Any have knowledge of the JCW Kit??

I just bought a 02 MCS with the JCW kit on it..
I was told( and have receipts) that he paid $6300 for the Kit, then he says they came out with a "stage 2" that was newer and had differnt power band and he paid another $2000 to upgrade his JCW install to the newer one..

Can anyone tell me what the difference is?? Also, there are lots of performace parts out there, what can I use?? Can I get a header?? Will it do anything?? I know it has the pulley, airbox and exhaust..What about a new throttle body... I have searched for some info but I cannot find any
thanks

More realistic prices would be...
Dealer installed JCW tuning kit for 02: $5500
Upgrade to 05+ spec including intake, injectors and software upgrade: $700

You can get a header. You can install it. It will do something.

Same goes for a modified throttle body.

The JCW Tuning Kit, depending upon when installed, could easily have cost $6300 with labour. Its the labour that is the killer cost. The upgrade kit, yes, another $700.

Headers will do very little other than making it a bit louder without get a good port and polished head. A TB is most likely another waste of money with a new head. Some ppl may say its a bit more responsive but that is subjective

Search and you will find ...

thanks for the info, I have searched and searched and can not find what mods go good with the JCW kit... I have seem what is out there, but nothing about what people with the JCW package have done with good results... If anyone can help or point a link that would be a great help.
I know I am going to order a rear sway bar tomorrow though...

Read here ... https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=55669

That is the exact question I asked some time ago. The consensus answer seems to be that once you got the JCW kit, its time for a head .... After a head THEN add headers and a better IC.
