Calling All JCW Owners!

Some say the tuning kit exhuast is quiet. Some say it is just like stock.
I would like proof of either opinion. I would like to see a few videos on the JCW Exhuast: Flyby, and sitting and revving. Can anyone do this for me?
I think this a great chance to show off your car!

Thanks
Mikey

It doesn't matter if you removed the resonator of not.

It's a little bit louder than stock kinda like the early gen Miltek. Still very quiet to me:smile:

Chili, definitive proof is here http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...aust+shoot-out

JCW is quieter than stock. There is an interview done by Michael Cooper somewhere on the UK site where he mentions he made the exhaust muted on purpose because he wanted it to be "refined" the way the rest of the car was "refined".

Its so quiet that at highway speed, you won't know its running.

IMHO. I know that not a sound bite but its hard to find one because people dont buy it for the sound... That does not mean its not producing HP. Someone on MINI2 put a JCW and a Borla Race on the dyno and the Borla got 2 more HP ... not much.

yea I heard that before today. I dont know I would just like to hear it in action besides revving. The JCW website makes it sound like a ricer exhuast and this makes it sound like a taurus. I'm confused.

Ricer... oh no. Its very refined. As Michael Cooper said, he did it that way on purpose because he didn't want it loud. The JCW sound bite is extremely deceiving. When we first heard it we thought ... wow, loud. Much of it is the intake exhaust. Its nowhere like that. I looked around everywhere for a soundbite and because its really so quiet, no one seems to want to post on any forum. Hope you find one ...

I would have done it for you myself but we switched to Borla Race which is sweet.

Very little difference from stock

If you listen to both back-to-back you can hear a little difference. If you weren't looking for a diffrence you wouldn't anything. I've had mine for 2.5 years. Still don't regret getting a JCW kit.
