According to a Motoring File review of an '05 with the JCW suspension, it's a 10mm drop. What's interesting is his impressions on the ride quality. Sounds like a great setup and I plan to install it when I get my MCS!

Check these images out...

We have the JCW Suspension with 17" and the visual difference is nominal.

Check these 3 images out:

1- Shows the springs
2- Shows a Cooper with 15" wheels in front of a Cooper S with JCW Suspension
3- Shows a side view of the Cooper S with suspension

You can see for yourself, not much difference at all! And, very worth it.

How many miles on the new suspension when you snapped these pics? Just wondering if she still might "settle" a bit.

question...would it be recommended to get rear control arms when getting the jcw suspension due to the possible change in alignment, eg. camber? or is there minimal change in alignment with the jcw suspension, such that the alignment specs are still within stock range?

i believe most owners who have gotten h-sports springs, which is ~1" drop (vs. 10mm drop with jcw), have also gotten rear control arms to adjust out the additional negative camber brought on by the h-sports springs. but since the jcw suspension is less of a drop, is there subsequently less of a change in alignment, enuff that the stock alignment specs are maintained?

I think the "holies" are 15", not 16". Not that it matters much.

Serious question. Can you tell us why it is "very" worth it? I'd really like to get the honest impressions from someone who's had the kit for a while.

And to the group at large: has anyone fitted this suspension to a pre- 07/04 car?

There's still plenty of wheel gap there on that pict... I would recommend
the H-Sports and get the job done or leave it stock unless you are going
for particular spring rates.

Everybody is saying that the suspension is more than worth the price, what particulary about is better than stock? What other options could I have once I get the suspension kit, that would lower my car about 2-4 cm ?

I'm going to try to talk my dealer into selling me the MCS struts and springs alone and then add my own sway bars since the SS+ ones are subpar
