New engine time
New engine time
2009 R55 JCW n14
Well, the time has come for a new engine.. #4 cylinder piston failed and scored the wall..
i have ordered a long block from Mini. looked at others, but the cost was 2k less with my discount.
Anyone have experience with this type of replacement?

If the time comes where I need a new engine, and I pan on keeping the car, I'm either getting a build replacement or doing a full rebuild. Not sure I'd coin up for a replacement engine direct from Mini.

Surely, MINI doesn't manufacture theses engines anymore.
