Decided to try out a convertible MINI to see if I like it. Joins my other 3 2006 factory JCW hardtops (space blue, liquid silver and chile red)

Love it! I also have a 2008 JCW R52. Gotta love the first gen 2008 supercharger whine! Wish I could find a clean JCW second gen especially with those options.

Nice! Where in PA did you find this one?

I'm still disappointed you got to that Chili Red one before I decided to make an offer. That is a nice car, I balked on it.

@Derek Found it in Downington . And who knows, I may be selling the red one. 4 mini's is probably too many for how much driving I do. Plus I have a friend who want me to buy a 1994 Toyota celica GT4 import (I have owned 6 1990 celica turbo alltrac's and 4 1993 MR2 turbo's before this MINI bug started) so probably selling some cars

At this juncture I cannot justify another car either. Since getting my R53 I've bought and kept a '65 Nova, an F250, an '89 Rover Mini, and a collection of motorcycles. Not to mention all the stuff I haven't kept. I've been itching to get a V8 car, looking at Corvettes, so I need to sell some stuff as well. AND all the work/money I've put into my R53 fixing all the factory issues.

I had a college friend that was into AllTracs. He lived out on the Philly Main Line somewhere in Chester County. I wonder if you guys have crossed paths. He was racing Miatas (I think) last I heard.

@Derek, Know of a few alltrac owners in Penn, Only one in Philly area sold a Medium Blue Pearl 90 or 91 alltrac (like one I had) and that was probably 10 yrs ago. An old muscle car might be nice (corvette etc ..) but probably wont happen

I saw this car recently. We live near Downingtown and spotted it while out shopping with my wife. Went to get a photo but the owner was pulling out of the parking spot so just got a photo from a distance.

Remember specifically as it was a JCW Sidewalk and driven by a middle-age or possibly older woman. Where was it listed for sale?

Was the aero kit standard on the sidewalk edition with JCW kit?

@BlackForest - See picture, It was not standard on the Sidewalk. The Sidewalk was a good package to get if you wanted a loaded car.
@JackMac - LOL, we should definitely get together. Do you have an album of your cars on your page? If interested I have limited pics of my cars on my page

Just checked your gallery. I know the prior owner of your red car (Ryan). Small world!

Threw a few photos into my gallery if you want to take a look. Two factory JCW slicktops (Chili Red and Space Blue) and a modifier Cooper S/JCW (Hyper Blue)

@Black - I think in the day you could get the pieces (painted) for 1300. So there was some dealer markup. And oddly enough on this car, the kit is white NOT pepper white :(
@Jack - Nice collection. I have spotted a low mileage slicktop checkmate JCW but think I am too late (which may be a good thing). If that happens I would be forced to do some spring cleaning. And yes Ryan, He wanted to buy a M2, hopefully he did

He ended up getting an F-Type R. Not sure if he still has it, goes though cars quickly and that was over 2 years ago!

How many miles on this R52?

78K on the convertible. I got a good deal and its in very good condition. Needs some more cleaning in engine compartment. Needs PS hoses and the engine mount. And I had to remove the
aftermarket radio. Luckily I got the original amp and head unit back. The top looks great. In fact I would swear that its been replaced but no mention of it.

Wow, even has the rare GP leather dash, I once saw a 50K MSRP 2006 R52 MINI JCW, it had all the CF pieces and was going around from dealer to dealer in 2006.

Nice rare find.
