I'm just wondering if there's be a 300hp (new motor) JCW in the future. I know the GP has that spec but it's a limited model that most people won't be able to get their hands on. My lease is up in a year and I was just wondering , it would be cool if the 2 door JCW gets the new motor in the future. Any thoughts?

 

I doubt it. There has to be something aside from the weight savings & styling/design that sets the halo car apart from the other 2D HTS. Plus, you can get in the ballpark for less money with an ECU tune or a module like the Dinan Elite. With other common upgrades you'd be within single digits.

If you want 300HP from a stock MINI you'll have to look at the Clubman or Countryman.

 

I see, I figured if they put the new motor in the GP, there might have been a chance to put it into an upcoming 2 dr MCS JCW. Unfortunately I have to drive a 2dr car due to my disability and I don't want to void the warranty , so I guess I'm out of luck. The current JCW (which I won, Just seems wimpy compared to the clubman or countryman . And it's not like we have any choice apart from the GP (which we cant get) oh wel...

 

Isnt the new Clubman A JCW, or do you mean the Cooper JCW

yah, it would be nice, but Mini is going all electric in the very near future.........so who knows.
