F55/F56 JCW Sport Suspension Spring Rate?
JCW Sport Suspension Spring Rate?
Does anyone know what the spring rates on the stock JCW sport suspension (not the JCW Pro coilovers) is? My F56 S was optioned with the sport suspension and I'm looking to switch over to some BC Racing coilovers in the meantime before going all out on air suspension. But with the coilovers I can swap out the standard springs with Swift springs which I've heard nothing but praise for when it comes to other cars. They just have a range of 4k to 34k. But again, I have no idea how stiff my springs are so I don't know what to choose.
I'm no help, but I wanted to check the spring rates locally at a shop, but couldn't figure out who does it. I bought Schnitzer springs and had my stock JCW sport suspension springs off at the same time and wanted to compare. I never ended up getting them checked though. I pulled the Schnitzers back off and stayed with the stock sport suspension. Schnitzer were too bouncy.
Hey,
Dunno if anybody knows. All I've ever heard is they are 30% stiffer than the standard suspension. And don't know that it's really possible to say a number, since they are progressive springs. I'm sure BC could tell you what the comparable rate is with the Swift option, no?
