Dim screen can be fixed with Bimmer Code

I have a 2019 JCW and its always bugged me that my screen always seems too dark. I have lived with it for 8 months. Well my 2020 Supra was even worse. Since its at least 60% BMW and many others were complaining about the dim screen we selected Z4 ( haha) and low and behold we can code away, want a //M smash screen, sure why not. Anyway we figured out that in expert mode we could change the value and now we can control brightness.

What changes when you look at your brightness control now it says " Brightness at Night" but after coding it just says " Brightness" and you can turn it up 50% more.

So I plugged into my Mini and sure enough its not exactly like the Z4 but I found it, Headunit, Expert Mode and go to adjust brightness and with the value from 1 to 0. I will have to go back look for the exact module as I was doing it on the fly. But it works. My HU is so much brighter!

I will post the exact ones the next time I use it.

I'm a bit confused. The brightness settings adjust the relative brightness of the screen, and a photo sensor (within the face of the instrument cluster) adjusts within that "spectrum" based on ambient light conditions. My 2019 F57 screen can be so bright at night that it's hard to see out of the car. I think I have the brightness set to maybe 50% or so, probably lower but I can't recall at the moment. Never had any issues seeing the screen whether in full sun or complete darkness.
