Mini Nav, you make me sad...

Hey all, i've been using the nav on my mini for a month now and am wondering if there's any work arounds for a couple quirks. First, i noticed there's a handful of locations that ive punched in, zip code and all, that aren't registered in the database so i just have to use my phone to guide me to the location. Also, on my old honda nav, i could enter an address without the zip code and itd give me different options for a particular address. Like if i enter 700 broadway, it would give me that address for pasadena, sherman oaks, and whatever other cities in LA have that address. I don't always have a zip code to enter so dunno if there was a work around for that? I also miss the skip ahead part of my old navi, where i could switch to another screen and have it show all the upcoming turns, merges, etc. Anyways, i hope i just haven't uncovered all the awesomeness of the mini nav and someone can shed some light. Thanks!

This has been the story of my life lately. Extremely frustrating to be unable to get directions to locations that are 4 or 5 years old. The best work around is to search ahead of time in google maps and then use the google send to car feature.

This kind of stuff is inexcusable and was a HUGE reason I decided against Connected and Navi in mine. It's 2012 for cryin' out loud. iDrive in my M3 was amazing. MMI in my A4, another good one. Why MINI couldn't just steal the iDrive functionality from BMW, which works fine BTW, is beyond me.

That's why I never bother to even consider Nav packages for vehicles...

I just get a GPS on sale at the local electronics store and am a happy camper.
