Yep, I got the one and only allocation for MINI Calgary. It's a 2020 JCW Clubmany with 301 HP and 331tq. Fully loaded. It's on a train right now, couple provinces away. Can't wait!
I was told at one dealership that a manual is under consideration. Possibly by March.
I wonder what manual transmission they would use? The Aisin used in the 2019 All4s isn't up to the task supposedly. You'd think they would have made that announcement with the 2020 M135i if it was planned.

I would not be impressed if that was the case. Also March would make sense because that's when they are putting in the digital dash too apparently. I don't care for the digital dash because I went with the heads up. But the Manual, I would have ordered.
Just ordered 2020 F54 Clubman, Chili red, Black roof, black 18" wheels, cloth seats, XL display with apple play, Black badging, black door handles,
black all4 logo, and roof rails.....December build.
There's a rebel green/red top 2020 JCW at the Honolulu dealership... also a pepper white/red top one, they look very very nice! I should test drive one.
I'll probably test drive a 2020 Clubman All4 with the 301 HP. I was trying to talk myself into an ElectricMobile but can't quite do it. There's a small Alfa Romeo SUV that starts under $30k I'm told.
Pushed the button on a 2020 Clubman JCW; End of the year delivery. White Silver, Black top with all the black options I could get.... except side scuttles. 19 inch JCW Circuit Spokes, Iconic trim, Satellite Grey, Driver Assistance Package, and Roof Rail.
Decided to keep the old one. WE ARE A 2 MINI FAMILY!
Don't forget your Loyalty Rebate of $2000 for an Ordered MINI
NHcountryman - see my previous post in the clubman forum if you have any questions or your dealership is without a clue how to get that for you. I ended up buying my car for invoice (7% from MSRP) minus the $2000 rebate. My $46k mini ended up costing me $39995

It worked for me. Got the $2,000 -- or rather, the Sales Manager at my MINI dealer got it for me... after I asked for it.
Didn't get invoice this time around -- best they would do was $500 over invoice on an ordered car, less the $2,000. Very happy with the deal and the delivery, and particularly pleased that my dealer advocated for me and got the one-off colors we wanted. That's why I agreed to the $500 over invoice -- they earned it, and my spouse said they get to have it... She Who Must Be Obeyed. Love the car -- it's even better overall than the 2017 we turned in. And I just plugged in my Dinan Sport take-off form the 2017 -- woke the little bad boy up that lurks inside the Clubman S All4. Okay, not a 300hp BAD BOY. You JCW folks win on that one for sure.
MotoringFile got ahold of a 2020 JCW Clubman (Rebel Green/Chili Red) all loaded up except they couldn't get the 19" wheels. $48k. So their impression after driving it 2k miles (track, Dragon, and up the East Coast) is that it's faster than snot, the new 8 speed tranny is excellent, they love the huge 14"/13" brakes, and the suspension too. So far so good (they're keeping it for a long time). I am pretty sure the Steptronic 8 speed tranny is new for this car/and Minis in general. I know the engine is different too. How about the brakes, are they different too (the article led me to believe that they are new for this car)? Sounds like it could be the best Mini yet. I'll be in the market sometime next year. Gotta pay off my wife's 2019 Kia Sorrento first lol.
Picked up a 2020 Enigmatic Black F54 JCW almost 2 weeks ago from my local dealer here in Orlando FL. My lease was ending on my 2017 BMW 330i SportWagon and since I’m one of those weird “wagon junkie fans”, and BMW isn’t bringing the new G-Series wagon stateside, I figured an F54 would be the perfect fit. This is my 5th Mini, 2nd JCW variant (previous F56 JCW). So far I’ve got 500 miles baked on the odometer and I honestly have to say I’m blown away by what Mini has done here.
Power output is amazing, exhaust note from inside and outside is devilish (though I know some of the inside sound is manufactured thru Active Sound), brakes are grippy as hell, it’s a tech ladened monster and general ride quality is perfectly balanced. If I had to give it one gripe it’d be the seats, which are a little hard, but hopefully will break in the more I drive it (for reference I have the Carbon Black Dinamica/Leather seats).
I’m in love with this car, I’ve had so many bystanders and current Mini drivers stop and ask me what their eyes were seeing. If you’re on the fence about ordering or picking up one from local inventory I say don’t hesitate, you’ll love the car.
I'm trying to decide whether to get a 2020 JCW Clubman or a 2020 Clubman S for my wife (her heart says JCW, my brain says S). The JCW Clubman looks amazing and would be so much fun to drive. However, my wife will be using the car as a daily commuter for work and shuttling kids back and forth. I'm concerned that it will be too punishing for her.
Engine Noise
Among the videos I've seen of the 2020 JCW Clubman, it's always driven in sport mode and the engine noise is quite noticeable. Does driving in the other modes reduce the engine noise?
Ride Quality
How much worse is the ride of the JCW Clubman over a Clubman S (assuming the Clubman S has the adaptive suspension)?
Anything else I should be aware of when comparing the two?

The 2020 JCW Clubman is, IMHO, the best MINI yet, in terms of engine/transmission/drivetrain performance in what I have found to be the outstanding Clubman configuration. Having said that, we went for the S All4 for a second time, turning in our excellent 2017 for a new 2020.
I prefer the refinement of the S over the bit more rowdy dynamics of the JCW. I love the Iconic-level trim because we are looking for something a bit more posh. The dollars spent for the JCW, properly-kitted, buy you a lot of performance in a well-sorted package.
I don't need the JCW exhaust note, or the big brakes, or the lower ride, or the tighter suspension, or the seats, or the black headliner. We prefer the lighter headliner and interior, the slightly more relaxed non sport suspension ride whether the dynamic dampers are on or off. The 8 speed tranny with paddle shifters on the S is almost as good as on the JCW, and, in All4 configuration, the S gives no sensation of torque steer, even though the S doesn't have the same high performance front diff as the beefier JCW configuration.
I go 0 to 60 in around 6 seconds (with the $250 Dinan Sport Tuner in Sport+ mode on 91 reasonably good California premium gas). And it sounds and feels great getting there.
Having owned under 5 second luxury sports cars in the past, I don't miss that capability at all, fun as it can be.
The Clubman is just so much fun that 40 miles per hour is more of a hoot than doing 90 in a $100,000 Jag.
Drive the S and the JCW. You will know what's right, neither being wrong.

Thanks for sharing your experience and the detailed response. I hadn't considered the Dinan Sport Tuner but since I'm leasing, that's probably not an option for me. I'll go drive both with my wife and see how it goes and report back here.
On a related note, I saw you wrote that you got "$500 over invoice on an ordered car, less the $2,000" on your custom car. Does that mean that you effectively got the car for $1,500 under invoice? If so, would you mind sharing your dealer with me (in LA presumably)? You can send me a PM.

If her heart says JCW, go with the JCW. I have a lot of other thoughts and arguments, but that's basically what it comes down to. When we ordered my wife's first Clubman in 2010, she looked at me like I had two heads when I said she didn't need the sport suspension. I'm imagining a similar scenario when you try to explain that she doesn't need a JCW.

I had the Dinan Sport on my 2017 Clubman S All4 for the entire lease period and I put it on my 2020. Did all scheduled services at the dealer with the Dinan in place and hooked up. No issues. Only comment I got from the MINI technicians at the dealership was they wanted to drive the car to see for themselves what the Dinan added. They liked it.
My 2020 Clubman S All4 Iconic lease is this:
MSRP: $41,950
Invoice: $38,965 Incentives: 2,000 Dealer Discount 2,485 Residual 63% (7,500 miles/year) Money Factor .00098 (Reduced .00035 from .00133/3.192% to .00098/2.352% with 7 Multiple Security Deposits = $2,800)
I PM'd you with dealer contact info and more details.
Best of luck!

Thanks for the the information 2017All4. I'm not sure if I can get that deal at my closest dealer but I'll give it a try.
I went for a test drive with my wife this morning. The JCW was very responsive off the line and a blast to drive but it was too noisy for both of us, particularly in the back where our kids will often be sitting. So it was a very helpful test drive in that it narrowed our options down to the Clubman S. Now it's just a matter of figuring out which features are must-haves versus nice-to-haves.
The one package I'm having trouble finding is the Driver Assistance Package to get the Adaptive Cruise Control. Very few Mini builds seem to have that feature and while some may consider it a superfluous feature for a Mini, I've had it on my previous 2 cars and really like it for stop-and-go traffic and cruising on the freeway.

So, not to hijack a JCW thread, I'll just say that, even though the Iconic trim level gives an excellent choice of factory rims, and there is no credit back given if you opt for 17" rims, we went with 17's again for ride quality, ordered the spare (which is like $100, but does take up almost all of the compartment under the rear deck), and promptly put the OEM run-flats in bags in the garage and this time went with 225/50/17's, for a little extra sidewall and slightly less than an added inch of tire diameter. With all-season v-rated touring tires I'll never light up the track, but man it improves the ride quality regarding smoothness and quiet, without taking too much of the MINI edge off of the handling.
I like the dynamic dampers, which stiffen the ride just a tad in Sport mode and provide a very civilized ride in Mid mode. No Sport suspension for me anymore -- them days is behind me and my aging back.
The actual exhaust note (not talking about the fake sound) is very civilized in the S, unless you stand on the gas hard. When you do romp on it, still just a nice little growl. I coded out the acoustic sound, only to turn it back on because it seems that the noise cancelling with the acoustic sound actually improves the cabin ambiance, at least to my ancient ears. Car barely burbles or pops on the 2020's in Sport mode. Much less than prior years. Sad about that.
Active Cruise is in the Driver Assistance Package on higher trims. In Iconic the heads up display is standard in the All4 but Active Cruise is extra and Active Cruise is part of the $1,250 Driver Assistance Package that includes Head up display in Signature, and not there at all that I can tell on Classic trim. Only a dealer in the know, with the dealer build tool right in front of them, can say for sure what's in and what's out. For example, the alarm was included for no extra charge in my 2020 Iconic build but the MINIUSA site has it as an option for $500 in Iconic.
The MINIUSA build feature is not exactly fully updated. To build a car to your specs, you need a knowledgeable dealer who will sit with you and take you through a build step by step. Very hard to find a Clubman S All4 in Southern California, except for generic builds. Good news is orders on the Clubman S move through quickly with shipping schedules being the main time-eater. My car was built and at the UK docks within a couple of weeks after status 112 was confirmed. And it went to status 112 the day the order was submitted by my dealer!!
Life is too short not to drive exactly what you, or the Little Missus, loves.

Mini's system isn't as good as others as that can come to a complete stop and resume, it only slows down to 20 then cancels out. Or so that's how it works on mine
