PHEV Premium Package JCW

Wondering if anyone else has run into this. I recently put in an order for a 2018 JCW hardtop and have finally acquired my production number. When looking over my specs in the Owner's Lounge, the Premium Package that I requested is listed as "PHEV Premium Package." I would ask my MA about it, but she is currently out of the office for a few days. I've searched the forums and online, and I can't come up with anything about plug-in hybrid JCW hardtops. Any ideas?

Did you ever find out what that meant exactly?

plug-in hybrid electric vehicle is what PHEV usually means. Not sure why it would be attached to a JCW hardtop, probably an error.

I know what PHEV means, but was hoping Mini was extending their Hybrid past just the Countryman and wondering what the OP found out. It’s probably a glitch like you say....
We briefly looked at the SE Countryman for my wife in her ‘must-get-a-new-car’ like my husbands search, but with Auto only for the Hybrid, she dismissed THAT car right away( she’s an avowed Manual Trans fan...)......
She’s actually a good candidate for a PHEV, drives a regular 100miles a week, but her work parking may still not have any charging stations yet as it’s 3 floors underground basically.

Finally received my JCW. No PHEV anything in sight, so I think it was just a glitch or something labeled wrong within the site. Dunno...

So you can get a PHEV Mini now? Is it as cool/fast as the BMW i8 perhaps? I saw one of those in a parking lot recently. Yikes!

Yep, just a glitch, unless you ordered the prototype

No, the i3 is the car that gets all of the negative press and is approx $50k. It is a pure electric vehicle with an option range extended and looks like a futuristic hatchback.

The i8 is a milder version of hypercars like the Porsche 918, but at a fraction of the cost. If I remember correctly the i8 is around $180k

If you are looking for a PHEV in the BMW lineup there is now a Countryman and BMW also has a 3 series and the X5

Yeah the i8 is like $160k, runs on battery that gets charged by what I think is the same motor in the Justa Cooper, 1.5L 3 cylinder.
