jcw suspension modification???

i put on Haman 17x8 wheels on a 2004 works car; A) I am intrested in finding out what kind of suspension modifications are recomonded. B) is it possible to put on 225x17 tires on without having the fender rubbing on tires since i am seriously considering lowering the car most likely using Ibach lowering springs.

A JCW kit MCS is no different than any MCS. Various coli over kits and lowering springs can be used. Your wheel offset is +43mm so you can use H-sport springs or similar with 1" drop front and back and up to 215/45-17 or 215/40-17 tires without rubbing. HR springs give a bit more drop (40mm) and might rub.

I think that if you used 225/45-17 tires you would get rubbing that would require trimming.
The Hamann site recommends tires from 205/40-17 to 215/40-17 see

i have the H-Sports on my 04 MCS and have been very very happy with the results. i'm using the 17-inch S-Not-So-Lites with the Eagle RS-A's. the H-sports give a good drop without being outrageous and handling that feels much more confident. i'd be very suprised if you had any rubbing issues
