Battery in green mode

When I am driving in a green mode and I release the throttle ... Appear this two battery indications.
Although this looks like a recharge signal makes no sense to me because in all engines as soon I am running that engine the alternator keeps charging the battery.
So .... Someone know what this really means ?
Thanks

When you let off the throttle, but are in a position that does not allow the ecu to shut down the motor, most automakers on modern cars run the alternator extra hard to top off the battery...to reclaim some of the energy from an idling motor or coasting car.... conversely, the alternator's load is usually REDUCED greatly or even reduced to near zero output during acceleration....net result is SLIGHTLY lower co2 output....the price is owners usually need to "register" batteries when swapped so the car knows the capicity, etc...
Pretty sure that is what the "green" is saying...the car us just doing its thing...
