Brake Upgrades

I've seen this posted a few times. I just haven't seen a answer. But I really want a bigger brake on my JCW R61 Paceman. I was just wondering will the GP2 Big Brake Kit fit? https://www.ecstuning.com/News/MINI_...mpaign=newpost

If anyone one has any other break suggestions I'm open for them.

Thats kits is for of course the R56-R59 Models. They all have the 4x100 hub. Yours is a 5x120 and has a different mount on the axle carrier and a much larger wheel bearing. So its not going to be different fit, With one off rotors and brackets make for the axle carrier to match the GP2 carrier bracket , it might be possible.

Think its would be a cool kit to fit up and make fit, but you have some hurdles with fitment, brake lines, rotors fitting the hub , made custom to the 5x120 fitment. If you have the time and brake knowledge and a sourec to make rotors, it could be done, we know the master is the same in the R60 , R61, so that Gp2 master will be needed.

There is a Brembo BBK but its for the R60 R61 Countryman 2 wheel drive . Not four wheel as the carrier is different on the four wheel. But it will be no where in comparison with the GP2 brakes, they feel awesome and stop on a dime, just read any GP2 review and video on the internet about the brakes.
