Yup, those are my pics. The one shows pretty clearly what wires I tapped.

I needed these pics and thanks.

I was trying to find a switched wire under here.

Does anyone know if it's the same process to mirror tap a 2019 JCW? The case behind the mirror is quite a bit bigger on the 2019 than the photos above, but I assume it's the exact same process.

Did you ever succeed in this endeavor? I'm planning to wire a radar detector into my 2019 JCW mirror as well.

On my 2019 Clubman JCW, it was easy to identify +12V switched and ground wires with a volt meter in the windshield assembly that supports the mirror. I then put a small 12 to 5 V transformer and connected my dash cam. Lots of space. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures or write down the wire colors. The hardest part is popping the mirror assembly apart. I was nervous about breaking plastic tabs, but a little twist was all it took.

Thanks for the info. I went the multimeter route and tested the wires to be sure. My results matched those of GregoryK's pics above:
