That stinks , hope you can find a replacement. Put money down to hold it if you can on a new one.

Quote: Update from OP -- got screwed. Negotiated a GREAT deal, was completing paperwork, and while doing so (remotely), some guy walked in off the street and bought the car :(

Now on to my backup plan.....
I think the way it works is that you have to have given the dealer a deposit to hold the car. Until that happens it's anyone's car to buy, and it was in Tempe not Cleveland where the OP lives. I did the same thing last year. Wanted a VO F56 MCS, Tempe dealership found one en route to a SoCal dealership. By the time I was able to go to Tempe and put down the deposit that car had been hijacked by someone else. That's how close I came to being a 2015 F56 owner vs a 2014 JCW Coupe owner.

OP here. I "think" I just bought a 2015 JCW -- pepper white w / red roof. Coming from STL.

Won't believe it until I drive it off the lot. Had several false starts.

That's a real nice color combination. You'll like it. What options does it have? Good luck on this one!

Pretty loaded. Everything except for the active driver assist. Excited to drive it before it has to go away for winter.

I probably ended up with over 10% off sticker on a 2015 JCW with one made to order. Had many of the same options you took, but not all, as well as some you did not take.

Sticker would have been well over $44k. Took transfer earlier this month.

Reasons were I'd previously purchased a 2006 MCSCa at same dealer and had always maintained it there. There was a $1,500 incentive for end of model year purchase from dealer and another $1,500 from Mini USA as a loyalty gesture.

I had just spent about $5K in various repairs to the 2006 earlier in the year and squeezed another $1K for that too off the price. Got a few throw-ins also, like no markups on the dealer installed options that ran over $1K, so maybe another few hundred was saved there and then some outright freebies, like mats and wheel locks.

While JCWs are hard to get and accordingly hard to negotiate down in price, I was at the right time of year and had lots of goodwill to draw upon. You could also look at it as I paid for all these reductions over the years by having the dealer fully maintain the 2006.

All depends on the POV you take. Good luck with whatever deal you strike.

--->blackie: You've had the car for weeks and you haven't shared pictures?! Let's see the new beauty. Congrats. You got a screaming deal too; I hope that's a rare occurrence to keep our resale values high.
