Whine noise when accelerating in higher speeds

I currently own a 2011 JCW with 61k on the odo and am now getting a whine noise when it comes to letting off the clutch and accelerating at higher speeds. I am still new to this game and just need some advice as to what could be happening. Thank you in advance.

If it sounds like the same whine I get in mine, it's the turbo I do believe - and I like that noise! But then there are other noises that are not so nice. I once had a whine in a new Toyota, which was a front wheel bearing that went out. Can you capture the the sound on video and post it? That will help people identify it. Cheers.

If you're running a single mass flywheel and after market clutch then it's expected. I get it from my setup.

If it's stock then possibly something clutch/gearbox is not happy.

some people pay extra for that noise.... but it sounds like you dont have a sequential dog box with straight cut gears..... so your 6th gear is jacked up, or one of the bearings on that shaft, or the final drive gears, or the bearings.... hard to say without pulling it apart. but definitely got a hard part going bad.
