I've wondered about that chrono pak too. Some have said that it looked fragile. I'd like to see it in person to make my own judgement on it. I might trade the Comfort Access for that, something else too, I'd like to see the standard JCW seats in person and see if they're better looking than they appear in pictures.

Not sure how strong it needs to be... but it will monitor 2 very important (for lack of a better word) measurements in your car, boost and oil pressure, which IMO is more crucial than a Navigation system

Check out the smartphone app "DashCommand" which provides more info than the chrono pack with the correct adapter.
We have it here 62109392745 , it looks pretty cool and has boost / oil pressure , no word on if this can be retrofitted. I seen it in person the JCW launch car. Did not see it light up yet.

Just about any MINI drives and handles great. With your putting the 4 series BMW in the mix, can't say that I'm a fan of them, way too big. BMW just seems to make everything bigger, yes the MINI has increased in size, but not like the BMW's have. I considered the 228i/m235i but mid 40's, plus the fact that they, too had increased over the 135 series by a bunch. Personally, I thought the 135 was just about the perfect size, but no more.
Speaking of MINI's, I just returned from a 3300 mile trip thru the Gulf Coast, down into northern Florida then back up thru Alabama into Eastern Tennessee to Chattanooga, then back to Iowa. Yes, we did the Tail of the Dragon on Rte. 129 going into North Carolina. What a ride, and our little r59 JCW roadster just loved it, even my wife did as well. 318 turns in 11 miles. I think that Olga even counted most of them.
A MINI is a MINI, my next will be the f56 hatch JCW and I can't wait, but until then, our little roadster will suffice. Plus, if you think that it won't handle properly, compared to a 428i or a 435, then get the JCW Pro suspension, like I intend to. That'll work.

Reason: spelling

Thanks!
My current and previous cars are/were Mini's
Every time I drive a 3 or 4 series I love those too though - but then I fall in love with another mini LOL
Well i've got a few months to worry about it - thanks for the input

I assume you at least have the Sport Suspension on your JCW Roadster like I do on my JCW Coupe. Having driven a friend's F56 MCS a bit you will definitely want an upgraded suspension on your car. Hers was quite "floaty" and understeered compared to mine, and our chassis/body are stiffer that the hatchback's.
