JCW When do they arrive?

When do they arrive?
Anyone know when the first JCW is meant to be released to the public? I mean anywhere in the world so someone can drive it and give us some comments.
Those of us who ordered a Justa or MCS had a chance to read a review. BMW had flow half the car world reviewers to Puerto Rico and wined and dined them for a few days. Hopefully BMW will spend all the money you spend on the actual car and not on some huge extravaganza!
For those of us that have ordered lets hope that these cars are as great as we hope...because without someone who is not from BMW driving one and reporting on the experience that's what it is...hope.

I have no idea personally, but I'd be surprised if the Motoringfile didn't post something pretty soon. They're usually all over new Mini happenings, shows, reviews. I'm guessing the engine will be a beast. And the sport suspension can be had for free (you can opt out). My car's handling (SS) is way stiffer than my 2007 MCS (had 21mm rear ASB) but that's because the Coupe's frame is way stiffer than a hatchback not because of the SS. There's no body roll at all. It'll be interesting to see what mods they do to the F56 JCW suspension.

Production was supposed to begin on 3/20 - they take about 7 days to produce, and after that, I'm not sure what the transit path is to Europe. It must take at least a few days, then they still need to go through VPCs. Given this timing, it must be hitting the first dealers any day.

When the JCW's being built now finally arrive at USA dealers, are they going to be called 2015 models or 2016?
My guess is that the 2016 non-JCWs will start production around July 1 and will be at the dealers around the very end of July. Is it sensible that only 2-3 months of JCWs would be the 2015 model?

It is my understanding the fJCWs would be built in Oxford. The manufacturing process does take a few days to complete (don't know exact number of days - plus I'm sure it depends on a few different factors. My 7 day figure is how long my F55 took to go through production). The paint process alone takes the better part of a full day. I don't know how many lines run at once, nor can I find the exact number of cars come out of production in a day, but the JCW would be on the same line as the other F56s. 200-300 MINIs coming out of the factory sounds plausible, but that would be all MINIs produced in Oxford, including Hardtops (Cooper, Cooper Ss, Ds and SDs - Cooper Ones get produced in Born), convertibles and what used to be Roadsters and Coupes.

I put my JCW order in this past Friday 4/3 and I called MINI customer service today and they confirmed my car is scheduled to go into Production the week of 5/10/15 (estimated). From what I understand it takes 8 days to go through Production. Once it leaves the Oxford Plant, that's when things get tricky and some things are out of their hands while the car is in transit. It's about 3 days on the train to the Port and depending on the final destination will vary. I'm in SC so based on another thread, it's about 17 days on the ship. Hopefully at this point, there are no surprises (bumps/bruises) as this would delay delivery.

That's probably not true because it will be exactly the same car as the 2016. Just like my 2014 JCW Coupe, the 2015 is identical, same options etc. I gets down to mileage and options, not the year, if nothing changes between years.

I agree! That's why I didn't wait for the '16's. That has always been my experience. Plus I didn't feel like waiting until late summer

That has been my experience as well. That's why I didn't wait for the '16's. The cars are going to be the same. They may have modified option packages... Plus I didn't want to wait until late summer to enjoy the car.
