I've emailed the girl that is selling it & she is not that car savvy, says the guy she bought it from claimed to have a JCW kit "added aftermarket". The airbox clearly has a JCW badge, but I'm not seeing any other indication and I ran the VIN, it does not show that a JCW kit was ever installed by a dealer as far as I can tell. Is there anything I can look for to tell whether or not a JCW "kit" was actually added? Also, what all would a full JCW kit consist of? Supercharger, Injectors, brakes....????

 

Looks like it jus has the air box. There's no valve cover badge... Intercooler cover is factory Cooper s... Only JCW's from the factory will show up in the vin. Try ask if they have the JCW certificate from the dealer installed options.

 

It also looks to have stock MCS exhaust.

I'd say the guy just put a JCW sticker on the air box. Like everyone else had said....it should have the JCW tag on the valve cover, the JCW exhaust, and the JCW sticker on the intercooler cover.

Also....if you pull the ECU out, it should have a JCW tag on it showing that it's been flashed with the JCW tune.

 

Looks like it just has a JCW airbox.
