Steam Out Of Hoodscoop

I never noticed this from my '03S (owned for 5yrs), but my '06JCW releases steam out of the hoodscoop. I've seen this through the winter, sitting in traffic, and after a car wash (after driven [and then condensation on hs afterwards]). Sometimes with/without the fan running.I don't think there's any room for concern, just curious if anyone knows why.

That's just not right. Fluids in the engine bay are supposed to stay within the systems they are assigned to, aren't they? Hope you check you coolant level before and after each outing. The source of that steam would be a good thing to know, seems to me.

Check the coolant overflow tank seams for any white powder. Also check your thermostat housing for the same.

Seen it in the rain a couple times....
Heat soaked ic...and water hits it as you come to a stop...puff...
Check for leaks...but can be 100% normal on a wet day in some cases.

its normal...thats what happens when you're intercooler is hot. Mine does the same thing.

I also have an infiniti g37 that when it rains/snows/after a car wash my front grille is steaming because the radiator got wet.

Perfectly normal.

All fluids looking good. Engine bay is kept relatively clean. Ic on jcw must get noticeably much hotter than my lightly modded S did.

I have an 06 S and I've seen it when it rains, or after a car wash. It's extra water on the IC not a big deal.

Same here....typically in spring during light rain or after a touchless drive thru car wash.
