JCW exhaust started to drone

My JCW exhaust has about 124,000 miles on it, and it's developed drone. I'm guessing something rusted through or something's got a small crack in it.
Has anyone successfully had their exhaust repaired, or should I start shopping for an aftermarket replacement?

A good muffler shop should be able to inspect & repair your exhaust provided it is not rusted away. I had a strange rattle in mine. Took to the best exhaust shop in the city. They cut the resonator out & found a couple pieces or weld slag in there. Dumped that stuff out & welded the resonator back in. Easy peasy & only $20.

Mine developed a hole and was BBQ'ing my battery. The muffler shop told me that the flex tube has developed leak as well. I went for a full Milltek exhaust set up in the end. Yes it was costly. I would have kept the jcw but the hp and torque increase is worth it. A good aftermarket cat back is about $800. I would repair it if it does not cost over $400.
