Hi, I have a 2013 CM JCW. I don't have the chrome package (or whatever the name for it is)

Everywhere, the inside rings are piano black. The only one that is different is the one around the RPM cluster. It's not black, it's chrome.

Anyone else have this "combo"? Or did the assembly plant screwed up mine?

For some reason, that's how they all come. I happen to have the Chrome Line interior on my Countryman, but I know people who do not, and the tachometer/rev counter still has the chrome trim.

 

My tach doesn't have the chrome trim.. everything else does and you can't buy the tach trim without buying the whole tach.

 

I would make a post asking if anyone with a MINI would like to trade tachometer trims with you. Someone may be looking to switch from standard black to chrome and you both benefit. I did something like this a while back and it was very simple to switch. The trim unscrews from the back of the tachometer with 3 screws.

Also when looking for someone to trade with, I think you can also ask ANY late model MINI owner if they want to trade, with the exception of convertibles with their 'openometer' gauge'.

I have the Chrome ring on my tachometer and there rest are black as well. I think it looks good with some contrast.
