JCW Paceman Delay

Has anybody out there ordered a JCW Paceman since the beginning of 2014? Mine was ordered Jan 15, 2014 and it still hasn't gone into production. Anybody experiencing a significant delay in getting their JCW Paceman into production?

I assume you have a production number provided on the top of the vehicle sheet from the dealer when you placed the order. Give Ask Mini a try. Since PM&CM are built in Austria not Oxford, it will take a little longer to ship.

"1-866-ASK-MINI (1-866-275-6464): (Production Status and Dates)
ASK-MINI is a live support center setup by MINIUSA to handle all of your calls and inquiries related to your MINI order. ASK-MINI is your best bet for information related to the current status of your order from about two weeks after you order until the day it leaves the factory in Oxford. This system is divided into two main interfaces:
-Automated: The automated system is okay for when you need your fix and it is outside the hours ASK MINI is open (9am to 9pm EST). However the automated system is not much better than the information found on the Owner’s Lounge.
-Customer Relations: Real live people, and incredibly friendly / helpful ones at that! I strongly encourage you to skip the automated piece and ask directly for Customer Relations. If you supply them with your Production Number, they’ll be able to tell you your current status and anything they might know about the future of your MINI. They are the first resource that will be able to tell you final information for your production and completion dates and can also tell you at what stage of production your MINI is in (assembly painting, final quality check, etc.)

Not all ASK-MINI Customer Relations reps are created equal, sometimes you will get one who does not know the system entirely or is unfamiliar with the process, sometimes you will get incredibly personable and highly informative reps. Call back multiple times to ensure the information you’ve been given matches with what other reps tell you."

I've called the ASK MINI number multiple times gave them my production number with no success. My Dealer's Salesperson keeps on getting the runaround on a build date. I was just wondering if there's anybody else in the same position as me.

TJANK:
I did just finally get someone with a little bit more knowledge on my car's status at 1-866-ASK MINI . It still has a ways to go if it's true to what he said.

It did make a difference asking for "Customer Relations"

Thanks for your help

When did you place your order? Mine has arrived at the seagoing shipping port somewhere in Europe yesterday, April 25. I should be taking delivery the end of or May or early June, hopefully.

For some reason there was a delay in production of JCW Pacemans. Not sure if this delay is related to JCW versions, all Paceman models, and if they are still delaying production as of the present time.

My dealer was very helpful in conveying my disgruntles to MINI Corporate. As I stated in my original post I place an order 1-15-14 for mine and it finally was built early April. Complain severely to your dealer and threaten to cancel your order; you may get results.

I'm have/am experiencing this delay as well.
Placed my order in Dec 2013 and the JCW Paceman completed production in late Mar. but was the wrong color. Dealership good. :(
We reordered with a rush order immediately in Mar. and I'm still awaiting a production date.
At this point I might be better off ordering a 2015 JCW Paceman as it estimated to hit dealerships at the same time.

Did your car get to the dealer before the wrong color was discovered? If so, what color did they send?

I don't believe there will be any changes to the 2015's other then a more than likely price increase. IMO, I would hold out for the 2014.

I have read on several different sites that the 2015 will have some new exterior trim options: Black rings for headlights and taillights, a couple new paint colors, Paceman S and JCW will have LED foglights standard other models as an option.
Interior changes listed were: Climate control is now standard on all models, all models get JCW anthracite gauge face color (kinda makes it less special now), new dummy plug for 12v cigarette lighter outlet will have usb charging port in them.
Engine is bumped up to a different European emissions standard (i dont remember the name) and a slight increase in HP i think it was +9hp on the S and JCW.
Also there was some mention of improved sound deadening materials for a quieter cabin.

I asked my dealer if i should change my order for a 2015 since it had not gone to production yet. They estimated that 2015 base and S paceman would come in stock late July early August and that it would be at least September before they saw a 2015 JCW paceman so i opted to keep my current order,

Starlight blue/white top and hood stripes. Where did you read about the 2015 upgrades?

When you called MINI 1-866-275-6464 after the automated prompts did you say "Customer Relations" and get a live person? Depending on who you get for a representative; they will have the best up to date info on your car.

Starlight blue is a great color. My 2013 Paceman S is that color. Really looks amazing and in different lighting situations the color changes slightly but enough to be neat to enjoy staring at it every time I park it.

Here is a link to one of the articles on motoring file. I don't remember the other places off the top of my head but I did see similar information elsewhere.

No, it didn't make it to the dealer. I had called to ask about status, they gave me the VIN and said it had been produced. I ran to the Owners Lounge to register and saw it was silver instead of Chili Red (still a really sharp looking car )
I called the dealership and asked if they had given me the correct VIN. They called back about an hour later and said yes, there had been a mistake with the color. They said they would try to get another one through with a rush order.
This time I was able to get a Production Number to register in the Owners Lounge. It looks like it's currently 'scheduled' for production, but I don't see a date or any other details. I'll have to give the '1-866-275-6464' number a try.

No idea what happened to that silver JCW. I would have liked to see it on the lot and tried it out.

2015 changes look pretty minor, cosmetic. The black head/taillights rings would be kinda nice. Any HP bump is welcome, although i don't know that i'd want the extra sound deadening/weight.

Any updates with your orders JCWBlu and SuperC00per_2014? Mine should be arriving at the port here in California sometime in the next 24 hours!

I picked it up last week from the dealer. Have been too busy enjoying driving to check the forums. Total wait time: ~6 months & 1 week.
