How much boost are you getting?

Just installed alta boost gauge the other day and recorded highest boost at 29-30 psi with all mods on my sig.my car is a factory JCW european version 211hp from factory as opposed to US 208 hp. Not sure if this make any difference at all.

Let me know your numbers as i think i have too much boost. My car runs very string though with a very aggressive tune from Evolve.

R56 or R53?
That seems like a ridiculous amount of boost....

I also have alta gauge but on cooper s n18. Was running 11lbs with minor mods. After a tune was about 14. It seems like that boost surge might have something to do with cat delete as someone else was having the same issue.

Sea level is something like 14 psi and not all boost gauges will display this correctly. I have an OBD2 gauge on mine and it will show 13-14 psi at idle and go up from there. If your gauge is set up that way, the indicated 30psi is really only 16psi of boost, and thats reasonable.

+1
It sounds like you're getting an absolute boost reading not relative (corrected for atmospheric pressure).
