CA smog check
CA smog check
Has anyone in CA had an issue with their smog check after putting in an after market cold air filter or any other after market mods? I'm about to put in a DD works intake and my smog is up at the end of this year.
You need a CARB Executive Order (EO) Number for the intake or you will have a problem. Nevermind that any sealed intake with a proper MAF will pass the smog emissions test. Unless your specific car model/year was tested with the intake by the manufacturer it won't be included in the EO. Also it can take many months after testing I have been told.
Interesting that the test facility just needs an EO number to go along with the modified intake, they don't usually check the intake. For instance if there is any approved intake for the vehicle then that EO label on the intake would probably pass.
