Wheel Fitment Help

I looked over on the mini2.com forum for the listing of which wheels would fit on which MINI's. I have a set of R84 X-lite wheels with some Hankook winter tires on them which I would love to use on my new to me 2006 JCW. Unfortunately the guide indicates they will not fit on the car.

Does anyone know if there is a wheel spacer that can be used with the wheels? I plan on getting some different wheels and putting some different winter tires on them at some point but I am not currently in a position to get the wheels I really want so I am trying to get snow tires on the car for as little money as possible in the short term. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

And if it is not possible to use them I will be putting them up for sale.

Have you tried a test fit?

No, I am going by some information listed on the mini2.com website which lists the various stock wheels and which vehicles they will fit. I would hate to try them and do some damage to the brakes. Do you suspect they may fit?

Wheel Fitment Help

R-84 X-Lites will fit the 2006 JCW brakes if you remove the factory weights
and replace them with half-height weights placed to clear the caliper.

As far as spacers are concerned I have no idea if they will help.

Hope this helps...

It does, thanks. My friend has a lift in his garage and I want to check out under the car anyways so it might be worth it to stick it up in the air and spin the wheels and see if it fits. I am really not a fan of that wheel style but I can live with it for awhile in order to have traction this winter.
