JCW Aero install questions
Thank you to aztec1382 for all of your help - you took a lot of the mystery out of the install.
OK - I'm almost done with my self install, but I've got a couple of little things I need to take care of:
(1) how do you get the 2 torx screws and 3 pop in fasteners in the bottom of the new bumper? the bottom is different then the one you take off, and not having this car jacked up has me trying to put things in blindly?
(2) what's the best way to remove broken clips in the fender trim pieces? I broke 5 on one side and 3 on the other. I can get new clips at the dealer, but these suckers are really tough to pull out of the sheet metal.
(3) finally, what's the trick to getting the top chrome piece off? This is the one that is hooked to the hood itself. I see you can push some clips back and forth on it, but I can't figure out how to get the darn thing off.
That's about it. I'm real close to putting this mod to bed, so any help will be really appreciated.

May have to jack it up a bit to see what you're doing under there. Mine went in fairly easily without a lot of hunting.
(2) what's the best way to remove broken clips in the fender trim pieces? I broke 5 on one side and 3 on the other. I can get new clips at the dealer, but these suckers are really tough to pull out of the sheet metal. You can use needle nose pliers to squeeze the back side of the clip. Then it should come out. Or you can put a 1/4" socket on the back of the clip to squeeze it then pull it out.
(3) finally, what's the trick to getting the top chrome piece off? This is the one that is hooked to the hood itself. I see you can push some clips back and forth on it, but I can't figure out how to get the darn thing off. Remove a couple screws (2 or 3) I think. Then press the clips and it will pop off.

Thanks for the reply - I actually stopped by my MINI dealer today, and got the same advice - and now I'm all put together. It looks great. It wasn't hard for me, but boy do you have no room to work on the driver's side of the engine bay. Getting that stupid brake cooling vent set up was a real pain, as well as getting those two torque screws in on the bottom.
