09 JCW ~$24k w/ CWP, PP, Xenons, 29k miles

So I came across an 09 JCW w/ Cold Weather & Premium Packages, along w/ Xenons. The guy wants $24 k for it, seems like a decent deal other than the fact that it essentially has 30k miles.
What are your thoughts guys (and girls), is it worth it?
Another thing that also bothers me a little is that I'll need USB & Sirius, not sure how much those options will run me if I go through the dealership...

Is it Mellow Yellow with the JCW Aerokit on it in NH?

It will cost you about 750 for the USB install. Frankly, I'd just use the aux in and call it a day. I don't know what the sirius would cost but I assume that it will be close to that amount as well. Give your closest dealership a call on how much it would be to install either/both. You MUST go to the dealer to get it installed as they need to reprogram the car to accept the new accessories.

Yep, that's the one.

I really like having integrated access to my music library, it was actually one of the reasons why I didn't get one back in '06.

I think the price sounds fair and 30K wouldn't bother me (I've already got 25K on mine.) As stated previously, the dealer add ons you seek are pricey and no way going around the dealer unless you want to pursue an aftermarket route. Another thing to consider is the condition of its tires. I ditched the factory RF's at 11K miles, my first replacement tires were very soft and lasted only 10K or so, I'm now on my second set of summer performance non-RF tires. That said, good tires for the MINI are relatively cheap. My newest Sumitomo's from TireRack were only about $350 installed.

I test drove it the other day. I assume that you have not seen it in person up close.

It is in decent shape - pretty clean in and out. Couple of things:

1. There is some paint damage on the bodykit - mostly the ingress point into the car and on the rear bumper. The body seemed in decent shape with no dents or real bad scratches. I am sure that most of it can be taken care of pretty easily but if you are looking for perfect paint you'll want to keep looking.

2. The drivers window has the dipper issue. It will need a trip to the dealer to get it corrected.

3. I don't think that has runflats on. That isn't a bad thing. The rubber was not new. The wheels looked OK but I didn't examine closely to be honest.

4. No arm rest. No USB. No Bluetooth. Honestly I'd not worry about that in my opinion but i'm sure that mini of peabody would be happy to take your money to retrofit.

Here is the good on it:
Seemed well sorted out - no timing chain rattle that I could tell.

The owner was a local. I suspect that it was mostly commuting / easy miles. If you trust the dealer's story it was owned by a local professor. Honestly the car looked like it was not beaten on so maybe the story holds up.

Jack and all that is in the trunk.

Engine bay was clean.

Exhaust sounded nice compared to my S

Love the color and the matching color roof. I think that MY is one of the few colors that works well as an entire body color. Neither the black or white roof looks great with MY.

The biggest thing:
This MINI has been on the lot a while. I think that you have some room to negotiate. I bet you can get him down to 22,500 if you *really* work it and are not afraid to lose it. Frankly, at that price it is a steal. If I had the means it would be in my garage as my track toy. Sadly my wife killed that idea....

PM me if you want anything else. I'd be happy to help since I live near the dealer.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with 30K. For the price if if runs very well and is overall pretty clean, then go take the test drive and probably ultimately do it. Heck at 30K maybe they got all the bugs out of the way... See if you cant find any service history for stuff like timing chain, water pump squeal, HPFP, and I assume a 30K service..

The VIN is on the dealer site (I'm reasonably sure). You can probably call any mini dealer and see what has been done on it.

I did not catch the countdown to next service when I was checking it out. If I am out that way today I can check.

It was purchased and serviced at Mini of Peabody.
