Ordered today!

With Bruce's help at San Francisco BMW/Mini today I placed my order for a 2010 JCW, Dark Silver, black top, mirrors, wheels and racing stripes. I'm ordering the brake kit, but no suspension kit, I didn't want too harsh a ride switching over from my current daily driver, the 1985 MR2 which is track setup.

I will probably take Wade, as I'll be calling the Mini, out to the track once or twice so I can get a feel for how to drive her at the limits in case some moron in an SUV decides he doesn't want to see me, but mostly she's going to be the daily driver (alternating with Fiona The MR2) and she's going to be the cargo vehicle with easily triple the capacity of the MR2.

I think the JCW Car comes with the same Sport Package Suspensions as the Cooper S! I have the JCW Suspensions on my car and personally, I think they feel less harsh and handles better than my Sport Package Suspensions! It's a weird feeling to me at first, but it's true! More comfy and handles better!

Bleh, my MINI was delayed, either between Oxford and Southhampton, or between the train and the ship. Ordered on Feb 22nd, and didn't ship out until the 30th of March. The Don Juan isn't expected to dock in Long Beach until the 21st. It's been a long 2 months waiting... I'm trying to exercise the Jedi patience, but it's running out and I'm getting excited, and she probably won't be ready for me to pickup until May sometime, two whole more weeks!
