Help identifying JCW spoiler

Dear all,
A serious help is needed here. I took the decision to buy the JCW spoiler. I need to decide which color to get. My car is dark silver with checkered roof and original GP wheels. I'm leaning much towards the silver but it is zero stock USA wide!

Could you please post pictures of the JCW 06 spoiler in different colors?

White

Silver

I think the best color for your Mini dark silver with checkered roof, is Silver JCW spoiler. BTW Marwan there is a GP spoiler for sale at 1Fastmini.

Thanks Luys for the help. You are always an active member on NAM.

Based on many searches and reading, I think the pictures you posted here are for the R56 07 MC. The R53/R50 06 MC holders are smaller and they are not deviding the carbon fiber blade. About the color, the silver is not available USA wide and it is on a special order from Germany. This is because not many cars are equipped with silver roof. The silver part is the base that is glued to the roof and the vertical edges at every end of the carbon fiber blade.

I did not find it!! If it is an original GP spoiler then you have to change the rear hatch and the rear glass. If it is a copy then I have to look into it. Do you have the link?

I don't know if you have to change the rear hatch and the rear glass. This is the site https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=156294 also I don't know if it is an original.

Yuk. It looks cheap. This is an aftermarket. I'm sure 999999% that you need to change the rear hatch and the glass too. Get very close pictures to a GP and you will notice how is the spoiler bonded to the glass. The spoiler-hatch mountings are different than the stock.

No need to change the rear hatch or glass for this.

Mounts using stock mounting points.

Thanks Eddie for the info. I know your spoiler is designed to use the factory mountings. I was talking about the original GP spoiler. The GP has a different hatch and glass.

I also am thinking about going with the JCW spoiler. I am doing the aero kit with the exception of the rear bumper and think the spoiler would look very good with the kit.

I need to find someone that has one i can see in person. I do not want something that looks tacked on but rather like it was made to be on the car from the beginning.

Mine is an 2002 but it is the same as the JCW that would mount to the 06

This is a very nice picture. This is the spoiler I got but I got the black version. COngrats healey. I noticed that it's not really stick to the roof from the top area closer to the antenna. I assume you are getting whistles on high speeds.

There are no noises coming from my spoiler at 140mph??? Your assumption would be wrong.

I did search much on this. I found out that everyone complained about R53/R50 JCW spoiler being noisy was because it was not glued well to the roof. Some filled the gaps with silicon and some re-did the gluing process again.

I have done 3 now and had only a wind noise on one. It was not from the glued gap either, it was from the seam between the spoiler and the actual carbon fiber.

I finally got my spoiler and it's fit on my car. I really love it! My car looks agressive and Ican feel the down force! Turns on high speeds are much better too. I'll post pictures soon.
