I just swapped out my set of 18" TRW's for a new set of 18" JCW 18" all black R105s on my 2006 JCW MCS Convert. I'd like to know if anyone has used wheel spacers with these wheels, or a similar set of wheels, and if so how they worked out.

I'd appreciate any recommendations and I'd also like to know the name of the manufacturers and whether longer wheel bolts were required with the spacers.

 

I have H&R 15mm spacers to install on my GP but have not installed yet so I can not tell you how well they have worked out. The H&R spacers are a very nice quality.

If using spacers more then about 3mm, I would suggest longer bolts.

They even had the 14x1.25 size bolts that are used on the newer Minis. For the GP the stock bolt size was 14 x 1.25 pitch x 27mm long with a 17mm hex head. Thus, I purchased 14 x 1.25 x 43mm to go with the 15mm spacers. The only issue is the bolts are a silver color and I wanted black. I painted my bolts with engine enamel paint but Rad USA also has bolt head covers that you can use instead of painting.

Since I see that your vehicle is a 2006, it probably has 12mm bolts but if it was built late in the year it might have 14mm bolts so you will need to verify the bolt size. If you have 14mm bolts, you will also need to make sure the holes in the spacers are large enough for the 14mm bolts.
