Query...

Thumper ...
Anyway you can get that baby up on a rack at the dealership and measure the diameter of the downpipe and exhaust ... maybe take some pics? (potentially showing where the joints are)

Actually ... maybe take some pics of underneath the hood too..

Mozza... question goes for you as well ... CONGRATZ!

Thumper,

How does the exhaust sound vs. the kit JCW version? I believe I read that your dad has the kit installed on his car...???

Yea I might be able to...we are always so busy though, there's usually a line for test drives! So takin the car away for a while wouldn't go over so good! I was also joking saying that we should sneak the car away for a bit for few dyno runs .

I have never heard the JCW kit exhaust, so I cannot really comment. All I know is that the factory JCW sounds damn good!

My dad definitely doesn't drive a MINI so to answer your question, nope he doesn't have it installed on his car! lol

Just drove the car over at Alexander Mini in LA,the exhaust sounds great, definitely throatier. A liitle louder than my car and will only get better with time as mine has.The car is a blast to drive.drove it hard and the car preforms like a champ...I put some pictures of the car on the othe JCW thread,It won't let post on another thread...

Oh by the way, this was a factory roll out car and it just showed up..So it's available since they didn't even know it was coming Chili Red /Black

Just drove the new JCW car today. Brakes are fantastic, engine power deliver much better. Suspension......ooooofa

At least you drop some coilovers on the car and have a decent performer from the factory.

Crevier has 2 of them

those in the area should go check them out asap

Yeah Jan I can't wait to get my JCW suspension on mine. What, if anything, you'll be able to do with this tuning wise?

09 JCW

Jan I PDI 1 the other day. Brake hard into a turn. suspension was so off balance it wasn't funny. Acted like it floated in the Rear.

cool Car but alot of $ for what it is. Suspension really needs tightening up.

Really? JCW specific software? That is seriously tempting even taking into account warranty loss. And as for the stock suspension it's not THAT bad, not for normal driving anyway.
