Yeah, the burble is different from the exhaust sound, it's from the engine tuning, supposedly adding a little gas at a time when it'll make the little noise during deceleration.

I have a MCS/a and it looks like JCW will not happen for this car.I have inquired at the local dealer here in Sacramento and they will not sell the parts mentioned here,so this is good news to me.What is the name of the dealership you ordered from?

Wasn't there a post a few days ago by someone with a friend who works for MINI who said they'd fixed the issues with emissions and the kit would be available for automatics soon?

The place was Cincinatti MINI, in Ohio. Hope you can get some JCW action going for your mini!

I do have a question, about the JCW stuff concerning automatics...
WHY in the world does it matter, if it's essentially the same engine and everything minus the transmission .... ?
Is it a question of whether or not the parts will fit ? Or what ? ... just curious.

Just thought I'd post here, rather than in another thread since the question was asked/brought up...

* When I talked the the tech today who has just received my jcw exhaust *
He said it was a full cat back exhaust, with higher flow rate (although how much, hmm..) and not just the muffler..
Sort of relieved me.. I thought it was a really expensive muff.

Just thought I'd share!

Maybe I missed it, but what size is the pipe for the JCW exhaust. Also, is it just one muffler, or two like the stock S?
