I agree with Red Bull, Coen's JCW is one of the best i've seen. Love the color combo, and rims. Gives me many ideas .

No offense Red Bull but where are you getting it painted for 300 bucks, Maaco?

I painted my own kit and even with the discount we get (I own two bodyshops and buy $3000 per week in paint materials), it cost me almost 400 JUST IN MATERIALS.

I would think depending on the shop you take it to, you'll have between 800-1200 in getting the entire kit painted.

No offense taken....I own a custom paint shop and spray high quality paints. I was refering to my cost, should have stated that. Even spraying PPG DBC2000 would be less than $400.00

That makes sense now.... We use BASF (Diamont) so costs would be a little higher than PPG but I personally wouldn't spray a kit for less than a grand.

couple comments, I have painted all the molding on my 09jcw. sorry not sure how to post pics or i would. feel free to email me and i will send to you. Next, installing the kit is very easy. You might break a tab or two , i did not break any the 1st try so just take your time. again, its easy just be sure you get a good painter who knows what to do on the black molding, that is the trick.

Mine cost me $800 to have it painted. Just throwing that out there. I still ended up saving about $200 by installing it myself though (and I got the immense satisfaction of a DIY gone awesome).

Does anybody have prices for the separate kit pieces? I'm interested in just the front and maybe the rear bumper.

Morristown Mini quoted an unpainted rear without trim for about $285. Anyone know of a good body shop in the LA/OC area?

I know a place.. Called Marcos autobodyshop. I had bunch of my bmw m3 stuff painted over there... paint quality is nice... they work on euro cars a lot.. Talk to a guy name Steve. He may be still be there... if not.. Tony i think (asian guy... he is a the manager) Just bring him the parts you want painted to get it qouted.

Also, call Chris @ Southbay MINI. He knows guys in southbay area who does good paint work. He likes to fix up his car too...

BTW, here is mine. Just got it maybe 3 weeks ago. Now i have tinting done.. kinda too dark...

I need to get some coilovers now...

I ended up getting quotes from my local dealer for just the front and rear bumper components. It was more than the entire kit itself.

Nope, despite the fact that every promotional picture of the JCW shows it. It's an extra 2 grand they get to tack onto the price.
