JCW GarageInterested in John Cooper Works (JCW) parts for your 2nd Generation MINI? This is where JCW upgrades and accessories for the MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S (R56), and Cabrio (R57) MINIs are discussed.
What prices for the JCW tuning kit have you guys (or gals) paid or have been quoted, installed. I'm planning on ordering an 08 MCS this spring. If I,m reading it right, the $2100 listed on the configurator does not include installation.

I know you're pretty far away but Morristown MINI (New Jersey) offers the hardware for $1680. Not sure how much they charge for install but their labor rates are known to be quite competitive.
if you pay more than $2100 installed you are getting ripped off and should go aftermarket which is just as good anyway....that said, i have JCW tuning and rarely use the full capacity of power it offers
here's an idea for you...contact Rishon at Morristown Mini internet sales and arrange to have the JCW tuning at their place...enjoy the drive up to NJ, drop your car off and take the train into Manhattan for a nice night....come back the next day and it's done...you save a lot of money....the people their are nice, and they have a very good mechanic who did the work on my car completely to my satisfaction. bump.
The other option would be to buy the parts from Morristown and have them shipped to and installed at your local dealer. Even with the ~$80 shipping (I think someone said it was that, but I could be cracked out.) it'd still be cheaper. Or if money is a specific issue you could go aftermarket. Alta has a lot of mods for the R56, though I'm not sure exactly how much an intake, chip and exhaust would run from them.
Check it out here. Rumor has it, it won't be available to retrofit, however.
that'd be correct. that's BMW corporate attempting to stay one step ahead of non-oem mods as long as possible. when I bought my 09 I could not retrofit an 08 JCW kit; had to wait 6 weeks until mid-Dec to get it put on, and already had 1200 miles on the clock.
So if y're buying an early-build 11 I'd hold off, esp. if U wish to roll it into the financing like I did. kits are usually available a couple months into the new car year, around dec.
