I have one. It looks like carbon fiber. :D

I'd rather have the plain scoop, but my car was pre-specced. :(

The car came with the CF mirror caps also... those helped tie things together. But, I already traded them for plain black mirror caps and some $s.

Probably can't even tell in this photo since the car is Jet Black. Even in person, it's subtle and not many people notice it.

Very easy to fit the scoop.....

-One hex screw inside the bonnet holds the scoop on
-Then close the bonnet and pull the original scoop out (upwards and slightly forwards)
-It is quite tight so a good pull is needed!

Ive not done them.....but but all accounts there are 2 ways you can do it..

-Either by removing the mirror glass to release the clips inside the mirror (but this sounds like a risky buisness removing the mirror glass)

-Or apparently you can move the mirror fully UP_DOWN_LEFT_RIGHT and using a long screw driver release the clips that way

The rear boot grab handle is VERY easy.....if you look up into the boot handle were the plate light is there are a couple of hex screws......remove them and dissconnect the lighting plug.......refit the plug onto JCW part and refit the screws!! EASY!

Thanks for the info Ken! Doesn't sound like any of the JCW add ons are too tricky to do!

It has been awhile, I've done this. It was easy. You adjust the mirror so you can get your fingers behind it and pull until it pops out. The glass is in a plastic mount that snaps into the adjustment mechanism. There is a thread about replacing mirror caps somewhere that tells exactly how to do it. It is either here or in the Coupe 2007+ forum.

Actually while parked at school the other day, some nincompoop hit my mirror, so theres a small white scratch on my driver side mirror. Not really noticeable, but I'm seriously considering ordering the caps, out of "necessity."

I never heard of that job. It's a great idea. Did he just apply a covering, like a cellphone skin? How much?

i still haven't found any CF vinyl that comes close to matching the real thing in any way... and I've got a lot of samples from vendors...it just doesn't have the depth and structure...if anyone thinks otherwise, i would really enjoy hearing about it....thanks

i agree... ive never seen a "cf" look alike vinyl cover that has impressed me... they all just look too fake for my taste.

I've seen some vinyl that looks pretty close to raw CF, but you're right - I haven't seen anything that matches the depth and 3-D look of clearcoated CF pieces.
