Interior/Exterior "Temporary" Vinyl??
"Temporary" Vinyl??
Does such a thing exist? I've got an idea for some side stripes that would be for the Dragon only. Does anyone make perhaps a cheaper, thinner adhesive vinyl that would be easy to install and then remove after the weekend?
Thanks
Thanks
One of our club members was thinking of doing the same...he was going to check with some sign shops. You might also check with shops that do graphics for commercial vehicles too.
I wonder if you can get graphics made out of that cling material - like the kind made to stick to windows. I don't know if that would stick to the body or if it would melt on warmer places like the bonnet.

Yeah, but what I want to do is gonna take up about 70-80% of the side (X2)so when you include the magnetic "material" the $$$ starts to climb

Although, I'd bet you could sell them here on eBay for at least half of what you end up paying for them. Magnetic SIDE stripes are pretty rare - I can't ever remember seeing them, anyway.
PS - "Richard" Blick (can't say the "D" word in here) art supply sells magnetic vinyl by the foot on a big roll. Check it out - the price may be cheaper than you think (although I don't know what you have in mind for the final design). I've had GREAT luck with plain white sheet magnets, an exacto knife, a T-square and french curve and $5 cans of Krylon paint (the stuff specially designed for use on plastic) - if you need any tips, just let me know! Depending on what you're thinking, I might go in on them with you.

for reasonably cheap magnet material, that you can cut to whatever shape/size you want:
go to mcmaster-carr and search for part number 5761K11
they have 10 colors, 1/32" thick, 24" wide....$5.05 per linear foot.

I had a cling Union Jack sunroof flag from Cooper Flags a few years ago. I was motoring from Birmingham down to the FL Panhandle and it started to peel off in the extreme heat.
But for a temporary graphic, I think you can contact local vinyl shops to see what they suggest.
Thanks, great site.
I lost one of my mag fender protectors (thing in front of the rear wheel) and was looking for someplace to just buy the sheet material.
Lots of other fun stuff as well!

Now I just need to find a source for the image

I want to try and do this in silver (once again, ONLY for the Dragon
)
im a graphic designer, i should be able to come up with something VERY similar in a few hours, check your pms tomorrow. (I work best late night when I have good bandwidth)
do you just want the side lightnings? or do ou want the hood too? post back for more details.

No problem. I've been buying that stuff for years, making autocross numbers out of it, and sticking club stickers onto it for events.
Got a better pic...

I actually don't think it'll look too bad in Silver on DB
Just not good enough to spend too much $$$ on (and leave it there)
