Bump.....

Has anyone done this on the 10's or 11's? my 11 clubman is due in at the end of december and I have fallen in love with white dash and red needles. Looks very very sporty IMO...

Actually, the 11's have the ability to change the cabin lights different colors. Why in heavens name did mini not allow us to change the color of the dash? all it is a Red Green Blue SM LEd that creates the different colors throughout the cabin, seems like it would be just as easy to do the dash...Seems like a missed opertunity.

Ohh well, Is foxtrot still around?

I just bought a 05 MCS, and the first thing I thought was how cool it would be if I could change the Tach, Speedo, and other dash lights to blue. Are there any shops doing this, and what is the going rate?

I dremmeled out the light barrier leading to the two sections before and after the '6' tic mark to let the blue light in. When the Speedo lights up the red LED, it mixes with the blue and makes an interesting purple.

It was a risk, so I did mine, to show him what it'd look like. I knew I'd like it, so I was planned to keep it like that.. I really like the Outmotoring ones, and since 1nf3rn0 liked the blue tics, I gave him my fascia and went ahead and did his (mine, now), and also did my Speedo for the unused high-beam light at the top in preparation.

If anyone wants me to do any gauges, just let me know. The more I do, the faster I'll get at doing them. I'm working on a set that will be changed to WHITE right now, and am anxious to see the finished result.

I guess I'm bringing this thread back from the grave. The lease on my '13 MCS just ended and I decided to keep it.

I've already added a subwoofer to the factory stereo and it sounds so much better even with the factory speakers. Next up, i'm gonna get a 30-pin to Bluetooth adapter to stream my music.

BUT I REALLY want to change the LED's on my instrument clusters. I worked on avionics in the Marine Corps so I'm comfortable with soldering even though I haven't done much of it since I got out. I'm planning on doing either white or blue/teal lights or a combination of those colors.

Gonna do some more research to see if there are any changes I should be aware of, since this thread was started quite a few years back. I'm flying to Costa Rica this weekend for a week, but I'll try to update you all whenever I actually get to tackling this project.

Im in CA, so depending on how difficult I find this project, I might end up doing it for others local in the greater LA area.
