Painted headlight trim BLACK!

Finally got around to paint the trim around my headlights. I love the look now rather than chrome.

Here is before:

I can't see anything at night, but who needs to see!!! Anyway, I fitted the fog lights at the bottom of the front bumper so I can get some extra light because with the headlight covers I can't see much. Thanks

Definitely looks better than the chrome!! I painted my rings black a while back and they took a major beating from the rocks. Wrapped 'em in vinyl and they're good to go!!!

I was going to wrap mine in vinyl but i wanted to paint them first to see how long it is going to take for the rocks to really beat them up. Do you have any pics of yours wrapped in the vinyl?

That looks......VERY RICE

It would be better if you painted the inside of your headlights rather than that tint over front.

Did you take the rings off before you painted them? I bought a replacement ring since my chrome took on a gravel truck last year. Just wondering if it is simple as popping off and popping on the ring, and if so, how.

I'm sorry...but according to your gallery you have those taillights and you are calling his rice? I think you may need to look at the ground you are standing on while judging

Taking off the rings is very easy. Just unplug the wiring harness, take off three nuts thet hold the headlight on and pop the ring off by prying out the bottom tabs and pulling the ring off from the bottom up. DO NOT pry the top tabs as they WILL break off. You will encounter some resistance when pulling off the rings. Don't worry, it is just some double sided tape and the ring will come off if you pull hard enough.

Thanks Rally I was going to say the same thing, NICE tailights ACE, talk about RICE!!! My headlights do not have tint on them, those are headlight covers. I don't care if he says they look RICE, I love the look and I am keeping it. Thanks to all who gave NICE comments. I unscrewed the three bolts and just masked the headlight with masking tape and sprayed the rings. I didn't pry them off. I didn't want to break the tabs that's why I masked the headlight. I gave 3 coats of primer and 4 coats of DupliColor DS100 Universal Black.

Lagston did an amazing job on my Mini with vinal on the rings and a slight tint on the glass. I am really happy with the results. He is also going to be a vendor and AMVIV so book a appointment if you are going there. In my opinion he should charge more Ive had it on for about 4 months now including a track event and not one chip.

Looks great! I like the satin finish effect that those have.

Off topic - have you guys gotten a restock on the M7 stbs yet? I've got one on order, and was told a while back that it'd probably be around the end of Feb.

Do you have a picture of the whole car? I'm trying to see if painting the trim in body color makes the headlights look smaller

Randy,
who is Langston and do you know if he will also be at the Dragon?
Your rings look amazing and I would love to get the same treatment.
