This is great insider info guys! Thanks so much. And no I didn't know the 30% was not a "stock" %. I think one of the guys in our mini club said he got 30% from this place but maybe I am wrong. I wish your guys show was closer to ohio heh

If you look real close, most pictures show that these windows are lighter in those areas. They can use a glue or sand the dots down in order to cover these areas. You can find all kinds of stuff here:

you have to watch out for the metallized film..sometimes they block radio waves. something like that or another. not as good reception for maybe phones, radios, and watever else. a lot of customers used to complain about that. so make sure you research on it.
but with metallized film..you'll get pulled over faster..but depending on wat state you live in. sometimes it'll be ok to have i guess? not 100% sure. but where i live..you'll get pulled over 5 times faster with metallized film..they reflect more. that's a no no.
happy tinting!!

Thanks guys for the info on where to get my car tinted here in Maryland. I'm happy with the result of the tint by Carlos from Solar Solutions. I decided to go 35% on the front and 20% on the rear. Don't work too much about the shade difference from the front and the rear because the rear will always look darker anyways.
Now my cooper looks mean!!

Pictures really don't work. A 35% in diffused light looks dark, while 20% with sun coming from the other side looks light. I ended up getting limo tint on the sunroof and 20% on the windows. I was amazed at how much cooler the car was -- temp-wise, I mean. Cool looking, too.

I was bold, I went with 5% all the way around and 50% on the front windshield.

Looks cool. But that tinted windshiled would cause you problems around here.

lol, thats why I got HIDs but it is actually not that bad once you get use to it. Four of my previous cars had 35% on the front windshield, this one may be going back to get the 50 taken off and 35% put on. I also forgot, the sunroof and moonroof are tinted 5% too. I have gotten one ticket in my old cars for tint, but the cops just look at the car and think to themselves 'its just a Mini'. We have too high of a crime rate for them to be worrying about tint on a Mini. Now if it I was driving a 1992 Caprice on 22's, I would get pulled over all the time

I have 20% all around on mine, and love it. If I could do it again I would probably go with 15%. I have trouble seeing only when there are NO street lights and it's pitch black, other than that it's fine. As far as cops go....Ohio isn't to strict on this, but of course it will vary depending on the cop and location. I've been pulled over a few times and they haven't said anything.

And I would recommend Spade Kreations (www.spadekreations.com) in Fairfield to get it done. It cost me $170 and the job was top notch!

I kinda feel like my MINI is always hot inside compared to other cars i have had (i have no tint). Have any of you noticed a differance in the temp inside before and after having tint put on?

YES! There is a difference. I also made covers for my sunroof. Makes a HUGE difference, especially if you have to park in the sun at all!
The picture below shows my car-cooler temp wise, and in my opinion cooler looking with 20% all the way around. (Not the windshield though-sounds dangerous. Think I would rather wear shades.)

the tint makes all the difference temp speaking. i tinted my sunroof 5% and i never feel the sun beatin down anymore. i advise on tinting especially the sunroof.
